proposed design/drawing from actual field
condition and testing & commissioning has
not been completed yet. As-built drawing,
hydraulic calculation and testing &
commissioning report need to be prepared
following NFPA requirements & based on
actual on-site condition after installation
finishes fully.’’
24,30 As per the NCs description of FPS031‘’Factory is
installing an automatic fire alarm and detection
system with listed devices. Detector coverage
and manual call point were not provided yet at
all places following requirements. Initiating
device i.e., detectors, manual call points need to
be provided at all places following NFPA 72
requirements. During site visit, it was noted that
undersize battery backup has been provided for

In order to update the design
drawing, we need to clarify the
information regarding the selection of
the pump, this design was done in
accordance with Accord, Alliance
Standard. Taking into consideration
the most distant pressure 65 PSI. But
according to the ELEVATE guidelines,
the pressure at the furthest point
should be 100psi. If the ELEVATE
requirements is used in the hydraulic
calculation of the sprinkler system,
the existing pump meets the
requirements. However, the hydraulic
design of the stand piping system may
not be performed by the existing
pump. If we consider that plant to be
existing prior to 2018, the plant could
survive with the installation of the
pump. If not, the factory should
replace the pump. And update all
conceptual drawings to the new
requirement. We are therefore
waiting for the decision on the
selection of the pumps and the
information on the pumps.
We think, it is better to discuss with
the Brand regarding Remote point
pressure consideration.

added with the system. So, those

pictorial evidence to ELEVATE then it
may be OK.
