Presentation :
10 Mns • Wave to the students. Say Hi! Bow to the students and say
hello. Shake hands with a student and say hello. Write the T-S
word Greetings on the board. S_S Textbook
• Point out the photos of the different greetings around the Audio
world. Show a map of the world and say, People around the Board
world say hello in different ways. Listen and write the country
in your book. Point out the sample in the book.
• Play the audio. Pause the recording to provide time for
students to write the countries.
• Have students check their work with a partner, then play the
audio again.
• Review the answers by demonstrating the greeting and
asking Where do people use this greeting?
Write the answers on the board for students to check.

Practice :
• Say Listen and match the greeting to the country. Play the

audio. Pause the recording to provide time for students to

• Have students check their work with a partner, then play the Audio

*Ask students to create and perform a short dialogue in front S-Ss Board
of the class. Require 3 questions and answers from the unit to
be written in the dialogue. Have them perform a different
greeting from another country as they greet one another when
they act it out in front of the class.
