Objectives of the Study

General Objective

The researcher aims to develop a web base online donation in MSWDO

(Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara Samar entitled “E-

Share: Online Donation Management System”.

Specific Objective

1. To develop a website that can perform the following functions;

1.1 To develop a User-friendly and easy to access E-Share: Online Donation

Management System.

1.2 To develop a system that generates inventory reports on the donors,

volunteers, and beneficiaries.

1.3 To monitor the incoming donations.

2. To test the effectiveness of the proposed system along with its: (9126).

1.1 Functionality;

1.2 Reliability;

1.3 Usability;

1.4 Efficiency;

1.5 Maintainability; and

1.6 Portability;

Materials and Methods

vi
In this chapter, the proponents used different methods in developing the E-

Share: Online Donation Management System. Included in this section is the

description of the study, followed by the methods used such as observation,

interview, and questionnaire. It deals with the methods of data collection, which are

measured objectively. The instruments used for the measurements are the frequency,

mean, and weighted mean. These were also employed in the subsequent discussion as

well as the statistical treatment and analysis of data to assess the results, which are

the instruments utilized for these measurements.

Result and Discussions

Summary of Findings

The researcher had observed that some families are having lack support in their

daily lives due to health crises experiencing today and accompanied or other emergency

cases. Therefore, the project proponents had come up with the idea of developing a

system entitled “E-Share: Online Donation Management System” The goal of this study

is to provide a system that will serve as a tool for them to manage collection and

distribution in part of their donations. In conclusion, this project aims to help the donors

and recipients safely accumulate and distribute donations. With that, the proponents of

this study proposed an “E-Share: Online Donation Management System”. The

information in regard to the evaluation of the proposed capstone project is presented

below based on the suggestions, conclusions, and recommendations.

1. The effectiveness of the system in terms of its functionality as proposed by the

respondents of the E-Share: Online Donation Management System. As perceived in the

vii
table, of MSWDO (Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara

Samar. In terms of reliability, the grand mean of the evaluation of the system was

4.44 and interpreted as “Moderately Functionality”.

2. The effectiveness of the system in terms of its reliability as stated by the respondents of

the E-Share: Online Donation Management System. As perceived in the table, of

MSWDO (Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara Samar. In

terms of reliability, the grand mean of the evaluation of the system was 4.46 and

interpreted as “Moderately Reliability”.

3. The effectiveness of the system in terms of its usability as stated by the user of

the E-Share: Online Donation Management System. As perceived in the table, of

MSWDO (Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara Samar. In

terms of Usability, the grand mean of the evaluation of the system was 4.54 and

interpreted as “Highly Usability”.

4. The effectiveness of the system in terms of its efficiency as stated by the respondents of

the E-Share: Online Donation Management System. As perceived in the table, of

MSWDO (Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara Samar. In

terms of Efficiency, the grand mean of the evaluation of the system was 4.59

interpreted as “Highly Efficiency”.

5. The effectiveness of the system in terms of its maintainability as stated by the

respondents of the E-Share: Online Donation Management System. As perceived in the

table, of MSWDO (Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara

Samar. In terms of maintainability, the grand mean of the evaluation of the system

as 4.53 and interpreted as “Highly Maintainability”.

viii
6. The effectiveness of the system in terms of its portability as stated by the user of the E-

Share: Online Donation Management System. As perceived in the table, of MSWDO

(Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara Samar. In terms of

portability, the grand mean of the evaluation of the system was 4.52 and

interpreted as “Highly Portability.”

Conclusions

The following conclusions were drawn based on the above-stated findings.

E-Share: Online Donation Management System were successfully used at MSWDO

(Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara in terms of functionality,

reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability and portability that all of the rating

majority are positive outcome in total grand mean of the following results was 4.51

which interprets as Highest Effectiveness of implementing the system.

The System can be used to manage in collecting and distributing in part of their donations.

It can collect any types of in kind goods donations like canned, raw, dry and etc. even cash

assistance. Because of the features that the system has, it has been perceived in the findings

that the features can helped those people in needs especially to those less privileged people. Its

highly effectiveness of the system in the area, this will eventually make the user become more

productive and speed up in monitoring their transactions.

In addition, the MSWDO (Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office) in Gandara

Samar can keep track of all the reports and observe in a fastest why of monitoring all the

transactions in distributing of donations and safety accumulating to the people especially in

ix
midst of pandemic. Lastly, the system can be upgraded or be more advanced from time to

time.

Recommendations

Based on the findings and conclusion of the study, it was recommended that:

1. The proposed system should adopt all programs handled by DSWD Office such as

4ps and etc.

2. The proposed systems should have a specification in the terms in date yearly, and

should have search engine to search recent year’s records.

3. The proposed system should specify all the recipient such as senior citizen, PWD

etc. in the record list.

4. The future researchers should have developed offline version of the proposed

system for emergency cases.
