26th May 2023

Dear Students and Parents,

I am writing to inform you of the details of the trip to Bath University that students will be attending on
Monday 26th June 2023.

Meet outside the Headmaster’s Study: 7:45

Return to College: 17:00

We will be travelling to and from the university by coach. At Bath, we will hear talks from members of
staff and student ambassadors. Students will also have the chance to ask questions and enjoy a guided
tour of the campus. Packed lunches have been ordered, but students should bring their own water
bottles. It would also be advisable to bring some snacks. Students should ensure they eat breakfast before
meeting in the morning. Students should wear smart casual clothing (Hurst uniform/sports kit is not
required) and bring a bag with them for lunch. Students should bring any medication they may need (e.g.
inhalers, EpiPens) with them on the day.

This trip will be hugely valuable for our students, as they will be able to experience a campus
university and pose questions to admissions tutors and undergraduates. Advice will be given on
making a competitive university application, which will be helpful to students regardless of whether
they choose to apply to Bath in the autumn.

The trip leader for the day is Will Bradley (william.bradley@hppc.co.uk) and another two members of
staff will be present on the trip. The arrival time back at Hurst is subject to traffic. We would be
grateful if parents could please complete the consent form for this trip. This must be completed by
6pm on Monday 12th June 2023. To do so, please follow the link in the email from Evolve regarding
consent forms.

Please ensure any dietary requirements and details of any medication the students may need to take
on the trip are included.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Katie Braithwaite
