The project proposal must be word processed
and presented under the headings listed here: Section 3 - Evaluation
(Approximately 50 words)

This section provides an opportunity for you

to explain how you will reflect on and evaluate
your work, as both an ongoing activity and at
the conclusion of the project.

You should describe how you intend to

record your decision-making and how you
will document changes to your ideas as the
project progresses. The evaluation section
should reference your stated aims and
be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.

When working in collaboration with others,

you should comment on how this may impact
either positively or adversely and outline the
steps you can take to minimise disruption to
your own progress.

350 word limit of the proposal:

Project action plan and timetable:

This section provides you with an opportunity

to outline your planning and organisation
over a period of weeks and the activities you
will need to carry out in order to successfully
complete your project in the agreed time
frame. The more time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.

It is important that you consider how you will

balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also
include what you are going to do, how you
will do it and by when. Remember to include:
time spent sourcing materials and other
resources to conduct research, feedback from
tutors and peers, and when you will carry out
independent study.

Bibliography (Harvard Format):

This section provides an opportunity to record

the initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.

Your sources of research should be as wide

as possible and could include libraries,
galleries, books, magazines, films, computer
games, websites, blogs, social media, radio
programmes, archive material etc. Where
appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should
be continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Project Title
VHS Horror Tape

Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 100 words)
Throughout this year I have a learned a few new things I didn’t from last year
of my course. For 3Ds max I learnt some new tools such as chamfer and the
splines tool. I learnt a bit more about rendering with the environments Pannel. I
also learnt how to do stop motion properly and I found that surprisingly fun.
With my previous knowledge I had from last year, This will help me with my
final and future projects because I plan to do something with a lot of hard
surfaces and a rendered video of some kind.

Section 2: Project
Concept My idea is a VHS horror tape set with the theme "out of this world" where a
(approx. 200 words) person will enter an abandoned futuristic facility or space station where the
person would be recording on a camera and will be exploring the environment.
The place will be covered in wires and some living organisms and the place
generally looking like its been forgotten for years. While exploring the
environment the person will come across an entity / monster from the entrance
and the person will run away from in a hallway before leading to his death.
There will be 3 main sections the entrance, the hallways and the main room.
The monster is going to be highly based off the entity called the smiler and
giving it some tentacles arms to for more detail and to make it more unique.
For this animation. The software I plan to use 3Ds Max for modelling and
lighting. I will use Photoshop for textures and Premiere Pro for the effects and
filters, however, I have very little experience with Premiere Pro so I'll need
some help with guide to tutorial to help with an effect.

I would also let to set some goals for myself a comparison video fo myself
The goals I would like to achieve in my project are:

Create an abandoned futuristic environment

Create an entity/monster within the scene

Have the person explore the environment

Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 50 words) I plan to compare this is my inspiration to this project called the Backrooms
found footage by cane pixels.I also plan to use do a weekly relfection for all
my work I've done. I also plan to carry out a questionare to get feedback from
people.
