Hi!
My name is Irina Tarasova, and, since you’ve purchased this photo tutorial, you
must be a Tilda Bunny fan, just like I am.
Credit for the idea of a bunny of this type belongs to Bella Makaeva. I found a
pattern for the body of this bunny on the internet and modified it to perfect its
shape. All the clothes and color scheme are of my own invention.
In this photo tutorial, I will teach you step by step, using detailed written
instructions accompanied by progress photos, how to knit and crochet a
“Yolandee” set of doll clothes to fit a bunny of 40 cm [15.75 inches] height (final
size will depend on your individual gauge). The result will be a loveable little
outfit just like this.
Let’s set out on this journey! 
For this project, you will need:
Yarn:
Seam Anna Twist (100 g – 500 m [3.5 oz – 547 yds], 100% mercerized Egyptian
cotton) color 342 blue – for skort, neckerchief, and bag together
Seam Anna Twist (100 g – 500 m [3.5 oz – 547 yds], 100% mercerized Egyptian
cotton) color powder blue – for skort
Weltus Cable 5 (50 g – 165 m [1.75 oz – 180.5 yds], 100% mercerized cotton)
color 27 red – for stockings, vest, and hat together
Alize Cotton Gold (100 g – 330 m [3.5 oz – 360 yds], 55% cotton, 45% acrylic),
color 493 brown – 1 skein for both for both boots, and hat
YarnArt Jeans (50 g – 160 m [1.75 oz – 175 yds], 55% cotton, 45% acrylic),
color 07 beige – 1 skein for boots, vest, and hat together
Kirov Yarn Mills Narcissus (100 g – 395 m [3.5 oz – 432 yds], 100% cotton),
color 5806 beige – 1 skein for bodysuit, hat, embellishments on boots and skort
Tools and notions:

– crochet hooks 1.5 mm [US steel hook 8, UK 4½], 2 mm [US steel hook 4, UK
2½] and 2.5 mm [US between B and C, UK/Can 12]
– DPN set 3 mm [US 2.5] (5 needles)

– knitting needles 2 mm [US 0]
– embroidery needle
– 7 buttons (diameter 1 mm [0.04 in]) for the bodysuit
– 2 buttons (diameter 1 mm [0.04 in]) for the skort
– 2 buttons (diameter 1 mm [0.04 in]) for the boots
– 1 button (diameter 12 mm [0.5 in]) for the bag

– coconut (or other decorative) ring 25 mm [1 in] for the neckerchief
Abbreviations:
Crochet
ch – chain
ch-sp – chain space
dc– double crochet (US), treble (UK)
dec – decrease (2 stitches crocheted off together, with separate bases and a shared
top)
hdc– half double crochet (US), half treble (UK)
inc – increase (2 stitches worked in the same stitch, with a shared base and separate
tops)
sc– single crochet (US), double crochet (UK)
sl-st – slip stitch
tr– triple/treble crochet (US), double tr (UK)
Knit
k – knit stitch
k2tog – knit 2 stitches together (1 decreased)
p – purl stitch
ssk – slip 1, slip 1, return both to left needle and knit them together through the
back loop (1 decreased)
yo – yarn over
Numbers in parenthesis at the end of a row or round indicate the stitch count after
completion of the row or round.
Tips and Hints:
My most important tip would be to try on the garments as you work them up.
Individual gauge varies. If the garment seems too tight, add another increase row,
it it’s too big – work a few decreases more. I knit and crochet at a medium gauge.
Bodysuit
Using knitting needles 2 mm [US 0] and Narcissus yarn in color beige, cast on 102
sts and work flat.
Rows 1 – 23 (odd rows only): selv st, k100, selv st

Rows 2 – 24 (even rows only): selv st, p100, selv st
Row 25: bind off 34 sts, k34, bind off 34 sts
Continue working over the middle 34 sts only:
Row 26: k2tog, k31, selv st
Row 27: k2tog, p30, selv st

Bind off all sts.
At the bottom, opposite these 34 sts, pick up and knit another 34 sts.
Rows 2 – 58 (even rows only): selv st, p32, selv st
Bind off all sts.
With crochet hook 1.5 mm [US steel hook 8, UK 4½], crochet an edging along the
sides of the bottom part: (sc, dec) – repeat along the whole bottom part.
Work sc edge at bottom part of side

extensions. Work edging at opposite
side the same way.
Thread the back parts on a piece of sturdy

thread, and gather to the bunny’s
measurements.
Suspender straps
Using crochet hook 1.5 mm [US steel
hook 8, UK 4½] and starting at the left
corner of the upper part (from the 22
sts), crochet a chain of 30.
Work back over the chain with a row

of hdc, then, without breaking the
yarn, crochet around armhole and back
part in sc, crochet directly over the
gathered edge.
Do the same in the opposite corner, but here, begin at the back part.
At the ends, make loops of ch7.
Sew on buttons: 3 at the top, 4 at the bottom. For the pictured sample, very small
buttons were used which can be buttoned directly through the gaps between the sts
of the crocheted fabric, except for the buttons for the straps, which are bigger.
The bodysuit is completed!
Vest
Front (make 2)
With knitting needles 2 mm [US 0] and YarnArt Jeans yarn in color beige, cast on
23 sts. Work flat.

Bind off all sts.
In the following section, you are going to create vertical stripes, working with
crochet hook 2 mm [US steel hook 4, UK 2½] and Weltus Cable 5 yarn in color
red. These stripes will be in the spots where there are purl columns on the RS of
the fabric.
Make a beginning slip stitch at the bottom of the purl stitch column. Insert the
hook under the purl stitch in the knit fabric, grasp the red yarn, pull a loop through
and fasten it with a slip stitch. Repeat these steps to the end of the purl stitch
column.
Do the same with all vertical purl columns.
Ties (make 2)
23 sts.
Row 1: selv st, k21, selv st
Row 3: selv st, p21, selv st
Bind off all sts using red yarn.
Sew the ties to the bottom of the fronts.
Using YarnArt Jeans yarn in color beige and crochet hook, work sc edging along
the sides of the fronts and the back.
Using Seam Anna Twist yarn in color blue, connect pieces: sew the right and left
front to the back in three spots, leaving a small gap between the panels
The vest is completed!
Skort
Top part (Saddle)
With crochet hook 1.5 mm [US steel hook 8, UK 4½] and Seam Anna Twist yarn
in color blue, crochet a chain of 100.
Rows 1 – 3: 100 hdc.

Fold the crocheted piece and join with a sl-st to the 4th-to-last stitch (97 sts)
Row 4: (4 dc, inc) 19 times, 2 dc (116)
Using Seam Anna Twist yarn in color

powder blue:
Row 5: 116 sc
blue:
Rows 6, 7, 8: 116 dc. Break the yarn.
Using Seam Anna Twist yarn in color powder blue, work crocheted sc edging at
top of skort.
Bottom part (Pleats)
Using Seam Anna Twist yarn in color blue, crochet a chain of 400.
Rows 1, 3: 400 hdc
Row 2: 400 dc
Continue over the first 200 sts only (right half of skort).
Rows 4, 6, 8: 200 dc
Rows 5, 7, 9: 200 hdc

Adjust the length of this piece to fit the bunny, try it on, arrange into pretty pleats,
secure pleats with yarn.
Continue the same way over the other half of 200 sts.
Adjust the length of this piece, too, to fit the bunny. At the end, the length of the
top edge of the bottom piece has to match the length of the bottom edge of the top
piece.
At the crotch, work a bridging

strip between the pant legs of
the skort: at the side panel of the
front piece, work 12 dc, then
work 14 back- and forth-rows
with turning. Repeat the same at
the other side panel of the front
piece. Sew the backs of these
bridging strips to the side panels
of the skort. Close the crotch seam to join the bridging strips.
Close the back seam at the bottom piece.
Sew the top part of the skort to the bottom part.
Pockets
Using Seam Anna Twist yarn in
color blue and crochet hook 1.5
mm [US steel hook 8, UK 4½],
crochet a chain of 10 and work 5
rows of sc.
Using Seam Anna Twist yarn in
color powder blue, work a row of
sl-st at the top.
At the bottom, work a row of sl-
st in powder blue, too, but this
time, beginning from the 2nd stitch, and ending on the 9th st.
Sew buttons to pockets. Sew pockets to skort.
Belt loops (make 4)
Using Seam Anna Twist yarn in color blue and crochet hook 1.5 mm [US steel
hook 8, UK 4½], crochet a chain of 8 and work a row of hdc.
Sew on the resulting strips to the top of the skort.
Belt
Using Alize Cotton Gold yarn in color brown, crochet a chain of 110. Next Row:
93 hdc, (ch1, hdc in 2nd ch from hook, 2 hdc) 3 times, 5 hdc
Belt buckle
With crochet hook 1.5 mm [US steel hook 8, UK 4½] and Narcissus yarn in color
beige, crochet a chain of 15, join into round. Do not break the yarn, crochet a bar
of ch7 across the center, attaching it with
a sl-st in into the stitch opposite the
beginning (see photo at left below). Work
25 sc around the ring. For the prong, ch4
in the center, then go back over the chain
with a row of sl-st (see photo at right
below). Sew buckle to edge of belt.
The skort is completed!
Fishnet stockings (pair)

With Weltus Cable 5
yarn in color red and
crochet hooks 2 mm [US
steel hook 4, UK 2½]:
Crochet a chain of 31
and work in back- and
forth rows with turning.
Row 1: ch5, sl-st in 11th ch from hook, (ch5, sl-st in 5th ch from hook) 5 times
Rows 2 – 14 (even rows only): ch6, sl-st in ch-sp of ch5 of previous row, (ch5, sl-
st in 5th ch from hook) 5 times, ch3, dc
Rows 3 – 13 (odd rows only): ch7, sl-st in ch-sp of ch5 of previous row, (ch5, sl-st
in 5th ch from hook) 4 times, ch4, dc
Starting in the middle of the next-to last chain arc, crochet a chain of 20, then make
a loop of ch7. Into this loop, the button at the side of the bodysuit will be buttoned
later.
Closure: Crochet a chain of 130 to lace up the stocking in the back.
The stockings are finished!
Boots
Work with crochet hook 2 mm [US steel hook 4, UK 2½] and Alize Cotton Gold in
color brown.
(Sole chart included for convenience.)
Round 1: crochet a chain of 10, inc into 2nd ch from hook, 7 sc, 4 sc into the last
ch. Continue into the unused loops on the other side of the chain – 7 sc, inc into
last ch – 22 sc
Round 2: (inc) 2 times, 6 sc, (inc) 6 times, 6 sc, (inc) 2 times – 32 sc
Round 3: 1 sc, inc, 7 sc, (inc, 1 sc) 7 times, inc, 6 sc, inc, 1 sc – 42 sc
Round 4: (6 sc, inc) 6 times – 48 sc
Round 5: (inc, 7 dc) 6 times – 54 dc
Using DPN set 3 mm [US 2.5], pick up and knit 72 sts from the crocheted sts and
distribute evenly onto 4 DPNs (18+18+18+18).
Change yarn to YarnArt Jeans in color beige and work in the round.
Rounds 1 – 7: k72
For ease of work, now distribute all sts evenly onto 3 DPNs (18+36+18).
Round 8: k34, ssk, k2tog, k34

Round 12 : k29, ssk, k2tog, k29
(you now have a total of 46 sts)
Bind off all sts with crochet hook 2.5 mm [US between B and C, UK/Can 12].
Using crochet hook 2 mm [US steel hook 4, UK 2½], work boot collar around the
top edge:
Collar Rounds 1, 3, 5: 46 sc
Collar Rounds 2, 4: 46 dc
Collar Rounds 6, 7: 2 sc, 2 hdc, 15 dc, 2 hdc, 4 sc, 2 hdc, 15 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc
Collar Round 8: 4 sc, 5 dc, 5 tr, 5 dc, 8 sc, 5 dc, 5 tr, 5 dc, 4 sc
Strap
Using crochet hook 2 mm [US steel hook 4, UK 2½] and Alize Cotton Gold yarn
in color brown, crochet a chain of 30, then work a row of dc.
Using Narcissus yarn in color beige, starting at one end of the strip, crochet a chain
of 10, fasten to other side of same end of brown strip. Work 20 sc around this half-
ring.
Sew the strap to the top of the boot where the collar starts.
Star
Using crochet hook 1.5 mm [US steel hook
8, UK 4½] and Narcissus yarn in color
beige:
Setup Round: 5 sc into an Adjustable
Magic Ring
Round 1: (inc of dc) 5 times (10)
Continue with the rays. There will be 5 of
them.
Instructions for one ray:

Ch5, sl-st in 2nd ch from hook, sc, dc, tr, skip 1 st and work sl-st in next st. Make 4
more rays as described above.
Sew button to star.
Star shank
Using Alize Cotton Gold in color brown,
crochet a chain of 8, crochet back over the chain
in sl-st.
Sew the shank to the star and the star by the
shank to the beige half-ring.
Pull straps (make 4, 2 for each boot)

Using Alize Cotton Gold yarn in
color brown, crochet a chain of 20
and work a row of hdc. Sew to the
sides of the boot collars.
The boots are completed!
Hat
Worked with crochet hook 2 mm [US steel hook 4, UK 2½] and YarnArt Jeans
yarn in color beige.
The hat needs to be crocheted very tightly so the crown can be easily molded and
will keep its shape later.
Round 1: crochet a chain of ch4, join into round

decorative zigzag line around the edge of the brim.
Shape an indentation at the crown and secure it in place by whip-stitching over the
edge at 3 sides.
Ties (make 2)
Using Alize Cotton Gold yarn in color brown, crochet a chain of 50.
Sew the ties to the hat.
The hat is completed!
Neckerchief
Part 1
Using knitting needles 2 mm [US 0] and Seam Anna Twist yarn in color blue, cast
on 3 sts and work flat.
Rows 2 – 92 (even rows only): purl
Row 3: selv st, yo, k1, yo, selv st (5)
Bind off all sts.
Part 2:
Using knitting needles 2 mm [US 0] and Seam Anna Twist yarn in color blue, cast
on 3 sts and work flat.
Rows 2 – 48 (even rows only): purl
Rows 17 – 47 (odd rows only): selv st, k15, selv

Bind off all sts.
Sew the two pieces together, gently iron.
Use a decorative ring to tie the kerchief around

the bunny’s neck.
The neckerchief is finished!
Bag
Make two identical pieces:
Using crochet hook 2 mm [US steel hook

4, UK 2½] and Alize Cotton Gold yarn in
color brown, crochet a chain of 3.
Note: Every new row will start with ch2

for height adjustment.
Row 1: 7 dc into 1st ch (8)
Work in back- and forth rows with turning.
Row 2: inc of dc – repeat 8 times (16)
Row 3: (dc, inc) 8 times (24)
Row 4: (2 dc, inc) 8 times (32)
With Seam Anna Twist yarn in color blue:
Row 6: 40 sc
With Alize Cotton Gold yarn in color brown:
Work sc edging along the rounded top.
Sew the two parts together along the rounded top of the crocheted pieces (on the
finished bag, this will be the bottom), placing the stitches 5 mm [0.2 in] in from the
outside edge of the bag.
Fringe
From Narcissus yarn in color beige, cut lengths of 19 сm [0.75 in] (for the pictured
sample, 40 were cut). Fold the strands in half individually, pry the sewn together
bag edges apart, insert the crochet hook under the sewn stitch, grasp the beige yarn,
pulling it through underneath the sewn stitch, grasp the beige yarn again, pull its
end out, pull it through. This has attached one piece of fringe. Repeat along all of
the rounded edge.
Shoulder strap

blue and crochet hook 1.5 mm [US
steel hook 8, UK 4½], crochet
caterpillar cord, 21 cm [0.83 in] long.
Start with ch3, pull the working yarn

through the first ch to form a stitch.
Sc1, turn work clockwise. Insert the
hook with the loop on it under the 2
side loops. Sc1, turn clockwise. Repeat these steps to desired length of strap.

Sew the strap to the body of the bag.
Attach a button in the center.
The bag is finished!
