After studying the sixth session topic entitled Infrastructure and

also read the additional material, please give your own opinion regarding the following issue.
Lately, Indonesia has built some crucial infrastructures like toll roads, airports, dams,
etc. Please explain the effect of those infrastructures to Indonesia’s economic growth!
Answer :
Infrastructure development plays a very important role in spurring economic growth, both at
the national and regional levels, as well as reducing unemployment, alleviating poverty and
of course increasing people's welfare. Therefore the Government is committed to continuing
to increase infrastructure development, because the availability of reliable infrastructure is
very important to support economic activity and business growth.
Government policies that are leaning towards infrastructure development programs as a
priority are considered as effective and appropriate steps to encourage increased economic
activity in the real sector. With the resurgence of construction industry activity, the
acceleration of infrastructure development can proceed. The impact will be a multiplier effect
which is closely related to job creation, provision of infrastructure that supports the people's
economy.
the government and the construction service business world each need to prepare strategic
and effective steps to contribute to infrastructure development. in order to have a positive
impact on national economic growth, it is necessary to strive for the amount of contribution
to the national economy.
