Write a brief research report on the position of all the European


Union countries about on going war in Palestine.

The countries of the European Union have different positions on the ongoing
conflict in Palestine. Here is a overview of some of the key positions :

France :
France expressed concern over the escalating violence in Gaza and called for an
immediate ceasefire. French President Emmanuel Macron stressed the need for
dialogue and de-escalation to reach a lasting solution.

Germany :
Germany condemned the rocket attacks from Gaza and expressed support for
Israel's right to self-defense. However, German Chancellor Angela Merkel also
emphasized the need to protect the civilian population and called for a ceasefire.

Spain :
Spain called for an immediate end to the violence and expressed support for the
resumption of peace talks between Israel and Palestine. Spanish Prime Minister
Pedro Sánchez emphasized the need for a two-state solution.

Italy :
Italy stressed the importance of respecting international law and called for an
end to violence. Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio reiterated that Italy
supports a negotiated solution to the conflict.

The Netherlands :
The Netherlands condemned the violence on both sides and called for a de-
escalation of the situation. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte emphasized the
need for dialogue and a political solution.

Sweden :
Sweden called for an immediate ceasefire and called on all parties to protect
civilians. Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde emphasized the need for a
political solution and expressed support for international efforts to end the
conflict.
Greece :
Greece expressed solidarity with Israel and condemned the rocket attacks from
Gaza. Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis called for an end to the
violence and a return to negotiations.

Poland :
Poland expressed concern over civilian casualties in Gaza and called for an
immediate ceasefire. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki emphasized
the need for a peaceful solution to the conflict.

Overall, the countries of the European Union called for an immediate ceasefire
and stressed the need for dialogue, de-escalation and a political solution to the
conflict in Palestine. While some countries expressed solidarity with Israel,

international law. The EU as a whole supports efforts to end the violence and
