m Upon completing the graduate program in korean culture education, students can apply for the
certificate of korean langauge teacher(Level 2) and the certificate of a multicultural society
expert. international students are required to have a TOPIK level 6 to be eligible.

* Both applicant and his/her parents must be citizens of the foreign country.

* A person who had completed all educations equivalent to elementary, junior
high, high school, and undergraduate education in a foreign country
m All applicants must meet one of the following language proficiency
requirements.
1) TOPIK(Korean Language Proficiency Test) Level 4th and higher
※ Field of Arts and Physical Education : TOPIK level 3 and higher(Music, Contemporary
Master's Arts, Physical Education, Crafts, Photography, Theater and Film, Media Film design, Arts)

2) Official English Language Proficiency Test Score at a certain level
Doctoral
Language (TOEFL iBT 71 or IELTS 5.5 or TEPS 600 and higher)
Proficiency 3) Applcant who holds the nationality of a country that uses English as its
mother tongue or uses English as a legal official language or etc
※ Exemption of language certificates : Applcants of [Global Business, Global
Hospitality Management, Korean Culture Education, Global IT Engineering,
Media Film design, Arts(Majored in Film), Hospitality & Tourism Management
-Food Service Management] may be able to apply without supplying TOEFL,
IELTS or TOPIK results.

4. Evaluation
m Applicants will be accepted for admission through a comprehensive evaluation of his/her
 academic ability, achievements and development potential, based on submitted documents.
m A interview may be required of the applicant when necessary. A telephone interview may be
arranged for overseas applicants.
※ Global Business, Global Hospitality Management, Korean Culture Education, Global IT
Engineering : The interview will be conducted via Zoom and the candidates will be
notified with time of the interview by e-mail.

1. An official transcript of academic records from the last university attended
* Doctoral program applicants are required to additionally submit copies of their official undergraduate transcript.
2. A Certificate of (prospective) Degree from the last university attended
* Doctoral program applicants are required to additionally submit copies of their official undergraduate degree.
* For Chinese University graduates (Requirement) : The original copy of Record Credential Document on Degree issued in English
from the China Academic Degrees & Graduate Education Information(教育部学位与研究生教育发展中心: www.cdgdc.edu.cn)
should be submit additionally.
3. Language Proficiency
1) TOPIK(Korean Language Proficiency Test) Level 4 or higher
※ Field of Arts and Physical Education : TOPIK level 3 or higher
2) Regular English Language Proficiency Test Score at a certain level

Global IT Engineering, Media Film design, Arts(Majored in Film)] may be able to apply without supplying TOEFL, IELTS or

5. Financial Certifications
Staying
Applicants who stay in korea with D2, D10, F visa submit Certifications after passing the interview
in Korea
* A certificate of bank deposit balance of the student or his/her financial sponsor showing a minimum deposit
balance of 18,000$ maintained for at least one month, or either a certificate of fund remittance to Korea, or a
certificate of money exchange, corresponding to 18,000$ or more
* All financial certifications should be submitted the original copies with translations(English)
* The financial sponsor should be a person of the same nationality as the student, or a resident in Korea
Staying
* When submitting a certificate of the sponsor's bank deposit balance, applicants should submit the following together;
abroad
- Sponsor's certificate of employment or a copy of the sponsor's certificate of business proprietor registration
- Sponsor's certificate of withholding Tax or Sponsor's certificate of withholding Taxation
- The address and phone number for Sponsor’s company should be written on certificates.
* Applicants for temporary overseas stay who have been registered as foreigners(D-2,D-10,F) do not submit
documents

8. Other Information
m Any matter not specified in this admission guide with regard to the university's special
admissions process for international students will be pursuant to the decision of the
university's Admissions Review Committee.
m Application fee paid will not be refunded and Department(major) applied shall not be changed.
m All submitted documents and records shall not be returned to the applicant.
m The applicant shall be responsible for the disadvantages including cancellation of admission
caused by missing of required documents, errors in the documents, indistinct addresses, no
response to correspondences, failure to execute procedures necessary to enter the country, etc.
m When an applicant gained admission in illegal way including forgery or alteration of the
documents errors of translation of the documents and such a fact was found while at school
or after graduation, the admission shall be cancelled or the scholarly attainments shall be
erased when the applicant graduated.
m The Waiver of tuition fees and refund of tuition fees; to be treated under the Regulations on
School Tuition, Matriculation Fees and Kyungsung University's Rules.
m National health insurance is mandatory for All International student.
