ARGUMENT TEXT
An argument text, also known as an
argumentative text or persuasive text,
is a type of writing that presents a
specific viewpoint or opinion on a
particular topic or issue.
 GENERIC STRUCTURE
AN INTRODUCTION
The introduction serves to
capture the reader's interest,
provide background
information, present your
thesis statement, and (in
longer essays) to summarize
the structure of the body.

 GENERIC STRUCTURE
BODY PARAGRAPHS
Each of your body paragraphs must
introduce and develop a reason that
justifies your thesis or overall view.

first clearly state the reason in a topic
sentence. Next, you must provide
relevant and specific evidence to
support this reason.
CONCLUSION
Your conclusion should
summarize your point of view
convincingly. Review your main
points and tell your audience
what action you would like
them to take; address and
