Narrative Report on the Delivery of RO Tablets and Orientation in the Utilization of

Learning Resources

In response to the evolving educational landscape and the ongoing challenges posed by the
global pandemic, the Department of Education (DepEd) initiated a two-day tablet delivery
program aimed at enhancing the learning modalities in Looc CES, Alcantara CES, and
Calatrava CES. The primary objective was to provide students with the necessary
technological tools to facilitate remote learning and ensure the continuity of education
during these unprecedented times.

Day 1: Looc NHS and Alcantara NHS

On the first day of the tablet delivery program, a team of DepEd representatives, alongside
local authorities, arrived at Looc NHS together with Looc CES with a convoy of tablets and
laptops carefully packed and ready for distribution. The event kicked off with a brief
opening ceremony, where school officials and community leaders expressed gratitude for
the initiative.

The tablets, equipped with essential educational software and applications, were distributed
to the students by grade level. Teachers provided guidance on the proper usage and
maintenance of the devices, ensuring that students were well-prepared for the transition to
digital learning.

At the afternoon, the team proceeds to Alcantara NHS to deliver the remaining tablet for
Alcantara CES. The distribution process was organized by grade levels to streamline the
operation and minimize disruptions.

Day 2: Calatrava CES and Odiongan NHS

The momentum continued on the second day as the delivery team moved to Odiongan NHS
and Calatrava CES.

In both Odiongan and Calatrava, the school communities warmly welcomed the initiative,
recognizing the tablets as valuable tools that would significantly impact the educational
experience of their students. The distribution events were accompanied by informational
sessions, where parents and guardians were briefed on the importance of supporting their
children's digital learning journey.

While the tablet delivery program was largely successful, there were inevitable challenges,
including logistical issues and connectivity concerns. To address these challenges, the
DepEd team worked closely with local telecommunication providers to enhance internet
connectivity in the areas and provided troubleshooting guides for common technical issues.

The two-day tablet delivery program marked a significant step towards ensuring inclusive
and accessible education amid the challenges posed by the global pandemic. The
collaboration between DepEd, school officials, and the local community showcased the
collective commitment to prioritizing the educational needs of the students. As the tablets
become integrated into the learning modalities, the hope is that they will empower students
to embrace digital education and thrive in the evolving educational landscape. The success
of this initiative lays the foundation for future endeavours to bridge the digital divide and
create more resilient and adaptable education systems.
