This protection is a so-called crowbar protection, when it goes, it takes down the supply in order to

protect the load (Melco). It is irreversible. It can be tripped we found in certain situations when power
goes down and one again fast. In newer models we also took it out, since in the end it is the third layer
of protection, and 2 layers also should be enough (almost all commercial supplies, don’t even have one).
