EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 002

“CREATING THE SUGBUsog …SUGBUANONG BUSOG, LUWAS

UG HIMSONG, (SUGBUsog) EVALUATION AND MONITORING
TEAM WITHIN THE BARANGAY OF BARANGAY BINGAY,
BORBON, CEBU.”

WHEREAS, on March 28, 2020, the Provincial Governor issued Executive Order No.
5-O, Series of 2020, providing for protocols and guidelines to be observed during the
Enhanced Community Quarantine period of Cebu;

WHEREAS, Section 2 of the said order requires all residents of the Province of Cebu
to be placed under home quarantine at their residents to reduce the risk of exposure and
transmission of the COVID-19;

WHEREAS, similar with the said; the Province of Cebu launched Sugbuanong
Busog, Luwas, ug Himsog (“SUGBUsog”) Program herein referred to asSUGBUsog 1 that
will give every family an opportunity to venture on a more productive undertaking while at
home;

WHEREAS, the SUGBUsog Program is a contest open to all households and puroks
in the different Local Government Units (LGUs) under the Province of Cebu with the
following objectives:

1) To inspire every family member to engage in a productive undertaking thru vegetable

gardening while at home;

2) To produce organic readily available food in their own backyard or homes; and

3) To strengthen family ties

WHEREAS, after the successful implementation of SUGBUsog Round 1 up to Round 4,

the Provincial Governor decided to continue the Program and downloaded financial
assistance to each and every Municipality/City Local Government Units (LGUs) and all its
component barangays for the implementation of SUGBUsog Round 5;

WHEREAS, the contest is broken down into the following categories namely; household
backyard vegetable gardening, containerized-household vegetable gardening; purok
backyard and purok-containerized;

WHEREAS, the best entry shall be selected for each category at the Barangay Level
who will then compete at the municipal level;

 WHEREAS, the guidelines of the SUGBUsog project, it’s Mechanics and the Criteria for
Judging for the aforementioned categories will be provided by the Provincial Agriculturist.

NOW THEREFORE, I ELENITA V. RIVERA, Punong Barangay of Barangay Bingay,

Municipality of Borbon, Province of Cebu by virtue of the powers and authority vested in me
by law, do hereby ORDER the creation of the Evaluation and Monitoring Team for
SUGBUsog program at the barangay level who will conduct an evaluation of entries and
shall be composed of the following:

FURTHERMORE, the SUGBUsog project will be spearheaded by the Provincial

Agriculturist’s Office who shall, together with the Municipal and City Agricultural Offices
send technical staff to guide the barangays in its implementation.
