7 Description: The number of e-bikes sold in Europe has been growing steadily over the past seven years. Particularly 2020, saw a large year-on-year increase of about 29 percent, at least partly fueled by the rise in popularity of cycling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This is despite e-bike sales in the United Kingdom not being continued in the EU sales from 2020 onwards. Sales continued to increase in the following two years, totaling over 5.3 million e-bikes sold by the end of 2022. Read more
