SIGN AND
REPRESENT THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF MUNTINLUPA IN THE EXECUTION
OF A
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR THE SAID PURPOSE.

WHEREAS, on February 28, 2017 a delegation from CBSC World, Zhong mof
Limited by Share Co., Ltd, visited the City of tVluntinlupa arrd was impressed by economic
and industrial developments of the City, tlrus, on [\/arch 6, 2017 a letter-intent for a sister city
agreement was sent to the local government of Muntinlupa by [tlr. Sun Ziyang, a high ranking
official of Xian City, People's Republic of China;

WHEREAS, the terms of the Sisterhood Agreement enunciates that conformably with
the principles of equality and mutual benefit, Muntinlupa City and Xian City agree to promote
friendly relation between the government of both cities to carry out exchanges and cooperation
ventures in such fields as culture, economy and trade, environment protection, education,
health, tourism and agriculture towards the promotion of prcsperity and development of two
cities;

WHEREAS, the covered areas shall include such as, but not limited to, aid and mutual
advancements in the fields of health care (medrcal technology and training); trade and industry
to include internet, e-commerce,communication and business entrepreneurship program;
education/student-teacher exchange program in effective communication technology; and
)- cuitural exchange such as tourism promotion, product and cultural presentation;

WHEREAS, in consonance with the City of [\Iuntinh-ipa's vision of being one of the
leading investment hubs in the country and its mission to prornote a broad based econonlic
growth and business-friendly environment for sustainable development, the Sisterhood
agreement with Xian City, People's Republic of China will not only' enrich our cultural heritage
but lirewise contribute to the progress of the city;

WHEREAS, as the Ph:lippines adopts an open foreign policy, sisterhood agreements

under the Local Government Corle of '1991, the local government units may
coo ve agreements for purposes beneficial to b'oth cities;

Sangguniang Panlungsod of Muntinlupa, to estabiish a Sister-City Relationship with
Xian City , China and authorizing the City tt/ayor Hon. Atty. Jaime R. Fresnedi to sign
and represent the City Government of tMuntinlupa in the execution of a lVlemorandum of
Agreement (MOA) for the said purpose
