Q5: Now, in the first part I’ll ask you some questions about yourself.

Let’s talk about your hometown.

R: Please!

Q6: Where do you come from?

R: I come from Hanoi city, the capital city of Vietnam, you know it’s the

cultural center of our country, but it is very densely-populated. Actually, I

live about 30km out of the city-in a medium-sized district.

Q7: What’s your hometown like?

R: Well, living there is fascinating because it’s quiet and beautiful. It’s

famous for many wonderful landscapes such as waterfall, mountains and

lakes.

Q8: What do you like about your hometown?

R: What I like most about my hometown is the local people. I mean they are

all helpful and sincere, you know, ready to help others. Besides, there are

many tourist attractions there, so I can go sightseeing whenever I want.

Q9: What don’t you like about your hometown?

R: To be honest, my hometown is heavily polluted because it’s rich in

natural resources so there are too many heavy industries there such as coal

mine. I hate that- you know, pollution of air, water and noise as well!
