So, back in March 2024, Billie Eilish gave an interview that sparked a lot of speculation. Fans thought she
was throwing shade at Taylor Swift. But did she really? Let's dive in.

“We live in this day and age where, for some reason, it’s very important to some artists to make all sorts
of different vinyl and packaging. I can’t even express to you how wasteful it is.”

Many fans assumed this was a jab at Taylor, known for her multiple album vinyl releases. Plus, Taylor's
been criticized for her environmental impact, especially her use of private planes.

But Billie quickly clarified on Instagram, saying her comments were about the industry as a whole, not
targeting anyone specifically. She even mentioned that she releases vinyl variants too!

So, that should have been the end of it, right? Well, not quite. Fast forward to Taylor releasing bonus
editions of her album, "The Tortured Poets Department." Some Billie fans felt this was an attempt to
overshadow Billie’s new album, "Hit Me Hard and Soft."

A bit of a stretch? Maybe. But then, Billie stirred the pot again with another interview.

"Doing a three-hour show.. That's literally psychotic. Nobody wants that. You guys don't want that. I
don't want that. I don't even want that as a fan.”

Swifties saw this as a dig at Taylor’s epic Eras Tour set list. However, Billie had previously praised
Taylor’s tour, calling it incredible.

“Taylor Swift [is an] untouchable superstar. The fact that they can put on a show that long, and it’s filled
with so many incredible moments, is amazing.”

So, is there actual drama between Billie and Taylor, or is the internet just doing its usual thing of pitting
successful women against each other? Honestly, we think it’s the latter.
