Topics Covered- The exam will cover material from sections:

Topic 6-Exponents and Exponential Functions
Students should be able to:
-les.6.1-Rational exponents and properties of exponents (page 217)-use
properties of exponents to solve equations with rational exponents
-les.6.2-Exponential functions (page 224)-describe and graph exponential
functions
-les.6.3-Exponential growth-decay (page 231)-use exponential functions to model
situations and make predictions
-les.6.4-Geometric Sequences (page 239)-identify and describe geometric
sequences

In all sections, the suggested homework give a good indication of the scope of
the material covered in each section and types of questions, which might
appear on the exam.
Exam Format-In general for the exam, it is expected that students show work
for every problem. Clearly indicate your final answer for each problem. Points
may be lost for incorrect notation and work that does not support your final
answer. The exam problems will be of varying difficulty levels.
Exam materials: All students will need to bring a pencil, eraser, and sharpener.
All need paper will be supplied.
For the exam, students may not use cell phones, notes, texts, or any other form
