Power Tools Safety

What is power tools?


A power tool is a tool powered either by an electric or battery powered motor, a compressed air
motor, or a gasoline engine. Power tools are classified as either stationary or portable.
What are the causes of incident?
Selection of wrong tool for the job. Operator incompetent. Using incorrectly or negligently.
Carrying/storing improperly. Not using appropriate protective equipment. Grounding electrical tools
improperly. Removal of guards from the tools.

Power Tools Hazards: Mitigation Measures:


 Loss of eye/vision. Using tools  Use right tool for the job.
