Prac - Stelr Kir Report:

Aim: To determine the most efficient conversion of energy from wind energy
to electricity measured in volts

Materials:
 Retort Stand
 Boss Head
 1 Voltmeter
 Positive and Negative Wiring
 Table Fan
 Wind Turbine
 Blades For Turbine (3 different sizes)

Method:
1. Place the retort stand on a flat surface
2. Attach the boss head onto the retort stand securely
3. Then attach the wind turbine on the boss head
4. Carefully place the largest size of blades on the turbine at the same angle
5. Connect the positive and negative wires to the voltmeter
6. Then connect the wires on the other side to the turbine
7. Next connect the table fan into a power socket, and adjust it on the flat
surface
8. Place the completed turbine facing sideways towards the fan and turn it
on
9. Observe and record your results
10. Repeat step 4 to step 9 for the other two sizes of blades to complete the
experiment

Results:

BLADE SIZE ENERGY GENERATED (Volts)

Red Blade, Large Size 60
Yellow Blade, Medium 100
Size
Blue Blade, Small Side 150

Conclusion:

To conclude the experiment was successful and the results were obtained in a
fairly accurate way. The experiment displays that the smaller the blade, the
faster it spins as the blades can make more rotations because of the smaller
distance to cover. The processes themselves are the best possible and there is
nothing else to improve within that. But to improve validity and accuracy the
experiment should have been timed so that it is a fair experiment and the final
voltage can be recorded properly, and there should be no external interference
such as gusts of wind which can hamper the reliability of the results.
