Chapter I
Introduction
Rationale of the study
 Internet pornography (IP) use has increased over the past 10 years. The effect of
IP use is widespread and are both negative (e.g., relationship and interpersonal distress) and (e.g.,
increases in sexual knowledge and attitudes toward sex). Given the possible negative effect of IP
use, understanding the definition of IP, the types of IP used, and reasons for IP use is important.
Use of the internet pornography has been increasingly associated with sexual behavior. Referred
to as online sexual activity, these sexual behaviors include cyber sexual behavior and
pornography usage. Child custody evaluator are increasingly being asked to assess the impact of
these compulsive sexual behavior. (by-Richard B. Krueger)

Pornography may be presented in variety of media, including books, magazines,

postcard, pornography, sculpture, drawing, painting, animation, sound recording. Writing, film,
video games. Sixty-two percent of students had accidentally seen pornography on the internet
and 35%had purposefully viewed pornography online. Student who experience sexual
solicitation and who purposefully viewed pornography online were likely to report lifetime and
current sexual behavior problem.

Aside from all the damage that pornography addiction can have on mental health,
spouses of addicts are often affected as sexual relations do not satisfy the addict as it once might
have. In short, anything less than extended intercourse or a female model could force the addict
to turn off. The addict’s actual sex life is inferior to the world of fantasy in which you get what
you want. This leads to dysfunction relationship and may even cause break-ups, unless the issue
is resolved.

Internet pornography is so common specially here at Philippines many young

boy’s use on watching internet pornography and didn’t even think about the consequences in
watching pornography.

Background of The Study

There is some male student of Esperanza National High School of who watch
pornography and now they are used to it and can’t help themselves of watching it, their behavior
are getting worst.

The male student of Esperanza National High School student have been principal
office because of their vices.

Statement of The Problem

The study will be conducted to look at what is the effect of pornography to
behavior of the male student of Esperanza National High School and also to determine on how
they control watching pornography.

Specially, the researcher will seek answer this following question:

2. What are some reasons why male student’s watch porn?

Significance of the study

The result of this study will make them aware about the effects on watching
pornography to the behavior of the male student, this study can benefit to the following:

male Students – after knowing this case about the effects on watching
pornography this will help them to stop watching porn videos and they can continue on doing
their studies.

Objective of the Study

The objective of the study is to be able to know the effects of watching

pornography to behavior of the male students of Esperanza National High School, the facts of
pornography, how it affects the mental aspects and also the emotional aspect.

Scope and Limitation of the Study

This study is compiled by the researchers, it started at November-2019. The

respondents for this research are the male students of Esperanza National High School. This
research is all about the effects of watching pornography to the behavior of the research
respondents. Limitation of our study is lacking of Related Literature and References.

Related Literature and Studies

The basic reason why male watch porn videos

Porn actually leads to a lesser quality of real sex. Many men watch porn to give them
pleasure or because they feel lust. This is because as a person turns more to porn, they no longer
feel arousal when connecting with an actual person through touching or cuddling. Arousal,
education, loneliness, boredom, and peer pressure are all basic reason why people turn to
hardcore, explicit content.

Early adolescent’s male exposure to internet pornography: relationship to pubertal timing,

sensations, seeking and academic performance

Research has demonstrated that adolescents regularly use internet pornography. This two-wave
panel study aimed to test an integrative model in early adolescent’s male that (a) explains their
exposure to internet pornography by looking at relationship with pubertal timing and sention and
seeking, and (b) explore the potential consequence of their exposure to internet pornography for
their academic performance. Boys with an advanced pubertal stage and boys high in sensation
and seeking more frequently used internet pornography.

The relationship between frequent pornography consumption, behaviors and sexual

preoccupancy among male adolescents
Frequent users watched hard core pornography and violent pornography to a higher
extent, users were more likely to have engaged in a wider range of

sexual activities, users fantasized about trying sexual activities seen in hard core pornography
and users showed sign of sexual preoccupancy and problematic pornography use.

Methodology
Research Design
This research proposal will use the descriptive-correlational survey method. The part of
the data will be related the students purpose in behavior such addiction in watching pornography,
Descriptive method is use to describe phenomena as they exist. It is used to identify and
obtain information on the characteristics of a particular problem or issue.
Correlational research that involves collecting data in order to determine the degree to which a
relationship exist between two or more variables.

Research Environment
This research proposal will be conducted in Esperanza National High School. The
School, with a population of more than 100 students and 9 teachers. The school having a (5)
classroom, (1) E-class, (1) Library, (1) Principal Office. The school is having an area of 1
hectare. The school is accessible by land and by sea.

Research Respondent
The respondent for this research proposal will be the male students of Esperanza National
High School. The male students are having a twenty (20) male total of twenty (20). They live in
Barangay Esperanza San Ricardo Southern Leyte. Their age ranges from 13-17 years old.

Research Instrument
The researchers will use the questionnaire to collect the portion of the data needed in the
study. The questionnaire is composed of two parts wherein determine the respondents profile and
10 question answerable YES or NO by putting check mark.

Sampling Techniques
This research proposal will be using a pure random sampling wherein 10 boys students of
the inquiry has an equal chance of being selected to be included in the sample.

Data Analysis Procedure
The collected data from the recorded of the summary of the impact of internet
pornography in the behavior of the students will be passed to the respected teacher.
However, internet pornography to the students is to help them improve their knowledge
on sex. Almost all boy students says that pornography is helpful to their sexual behavior but
some students says that pornography can be the one reason that their behavior is getting worst.

Data Gathering Procedure
This data will be used in the study that being taken partially from the summary of the
impact of internet pornography to the behavior of the male students of ENHS, half of the data
taken from the research instrument and research respondents. This research will be sent to our
respective teacher of Grade 11, the data will be gathered and the questionnaires will be
distributed to the respondents. After the sufficient time given to the respondents, the completed
questionnaires will retrieve immediately.

Summary and Findings
This research has shown that there are 10 chosen male students of Esperanza National
High School.
Internet pornography is the depiction of the erotic behavior intended to cause sexual
excitement and we can see that all half of the respondents purposefully seek sexual content, its
characterization as a base and threatening pursuit has legitimized its control.

Conclusion
The male students of Esperanza National High School is one of the example for this
problem because they say that watching porn is part of their teenager life and to be matured
about sex.
