DISCUSSION
A. INTRODUCTION
Education and science have proved to be factors with a profoundly significant impact on the
economy and society in general, and their level of development in a given country significantly
affects people’s quality of life and the development of that country itself, as well as an
international perspective Higher education institutions (HEIs) are forced to look for new quality
instruments in higher education, as they are conditioned by globalization and the constant
changes that have taken place around the world. The quality of teaching and learning has proved
to be a strategic issue of enormous importance in higher education system (Seyfried and Pohlenz,
2018).
Nowadays, HEIs face several challenges, such as rapid and urgent technological changes in
education, internationalization, and competition strategies, as well as a constant concern to
control costs and financing , the innovation HEIs can and should improve their processes and
services through the effective implementation of quality as they play a key role in the economic
growth and development of societies since they are the ones who develop, promote, and
disseminate new ideas and knowledge (Laurett and Mendes, 2019).
The implementation of a relevant TQM framework that meets the institutions’ mission and
objectives should be the first step to improve the quality of products and services provided by
HEIs TQM represents a strategic option and an integrated management philosophy for
organizations HEIs have increasingly invested in their internationalization strategies, in order to
obtain greater recognition and notoriety across borders, as a destination for higher studies and
research. The internationalization of education is the highest stage of international relations
between HEIs and is today considered a means of improving and promoting the quality of
teaching, learning, and research (Nasim et al., 2020).
B. PROBLEM OF STUDY
HEIs are forced to seek new quality assurance instruments in higher education, to ensure greater
competitiveness in the markets and their survival, HEIs also face several challenges, such as
rapid and urgent technological changes in education, internationalization, and competition
strategies, as well as a constant concern to control costs and financing
C. AIM OF THE RESEARCH
The aim of this research is to analyze the effects of innovation strategies, Total Quality
Management (TQM) dimensions, and internationalization strategies that Higher Education
Institutions (HEIs) might adopt, and their effects on their organizational performance.
D. METHOD
To examine the association between TQM dimensions, innovation strategies, and
internationalization strategies with the organizational performance of HEIs, a multiple linear
regression analysis was used. According to Hair et al. (1998), it is a practical statistical tool that

2
examines the linkages between a set of independent variables with one dependent variable. Thus,
a nine-predictor multiple linear regression model was proposed

E. SUMMARY OF JOURNAL CONTENT

Education and science significantly impact the economy and society, leading to the need for
higher education institutions (HEIs) to adopt quality instruments. HEIs face challenges like rapid
technological changes, internationalization, competition strategies, and cost control. To meet
stakeholder expectations, HEIs adopt strategies like Total Quality Management (TQM) and
innovation. TQM helps define strategies for desirable services and customer satisfaction, while
innovation helps rethink work models and achieve competitive advantages. Internationalization
also benefits HEIs by acquiring knowledge, talent mobilization, applied research, and shared
curriculum (Todorut, 2013).
Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management philosophy that focuses on continuous
improvement and customer satisfaction in higher education institutions (HEIs). It promotes better
performance and competitiveness, and has been applied to HEIs to adapt to globalization and
internationalization. TQM principles, initially used in the industrial sector, are driven by
increased competition and market demands. Implementation includes customer focus, leadership,
teamwork, process-oriented approach, and TQM tools. However, its usefulness in HEIs varies.
The higher education sector faces rapid technological changes and increased demand,
necessitating strategic response. Innovation strategies help companies stay ahead by exploiting
existing and new opportunities. Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) must constantly innovate to
compete and survive. Internationalization strategies foster dynamic citizens, improve educational
services, and increase prestige. Highly internationalized HEIs are seen as high quality, and
international strategic alliances create synergies and networks of researchers.
The study examined the correlation between TQM dimensions, innovation strategies, and
internationalization strategies in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). A nine-predictor multiple
linear regression model was proposed, focusing on Communication, Involvement/teacher
empowerment, Development/teacher training, Continuous improvement,
Leadership/Administration's Commitment, Data analysis/Measurement of results, Focus on
students, Innovation Strategies, and Internationalization strategy. The model explained 60% of
the dependent variable's variability, with the independent variables explaining 60%. The adjusted
model showed four significant variables: "Involvement/teacher empowerment", "Innovation
Strategies", "Internationalization Strategy", and "Development/Teacher training". The study
confirmed the hypothesis that involvement/teacher empowerment has a significant association
with organizational performance.
This research is crucial for understanding Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and their impact
on society. HEIs must navigate highly competitive market environments, and understanding
factors that can enhance their organizational performance is vital. TQM, particularly teacher
empowerment and development, is recognized as a tool for gaining a competitive edge. The
study found a significant association between TQM dimensions and HEIs' organizational

3
performance. Innovation strategies also contribute to HEIs' performance, as they justify
investments in new products and services. Internationalization strategies have been analyzed for
their impact on HEIs, aiming to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage and address global
challenges. The results suggest that internationalization strategies significantly influence HEIs'
organizational performance.

F. JOURNAL ADVANTAGES
The author is able to present material in a structured and systematic manner. In this journal, the
author is able to present material that is well structured and systematic. This is all very clear from
the way the author presents the material in his journal by presenting the problem first, and is
equipped with a theory then continues with solving the problem. In addition, in the research
results section, the author is also able to write down the results of the research very
systematically, which is clearly visible from the way the presentation of the material by the
presenter who writes down the results of his research then writes down the reasons for obtaining
these results. The relationship between the research results obtained is also very clearly presented
in this journal. This can all be seen from the results of research with observation
G. JOURNAL OF WEAKNESSES
Overall, this journal can indeed be categorized into a good journal because the author is able to
convey the material in this journal in a systematic, structured, and interrelated way. Although
there are slight weaknesses in the content of the conclusions, researchers draw too many
conclusions that can make ordinary people confused in understanding the contents. it is better if
the conclusion is made into a paragraph

CLOSING
A. CONCLUSION
In this journal Effect Of Innovation, Total Quality Managament, And Internationalization
On Organizational Perfomance Of Higher Education Institution explain that Involvement/teacher
empowerment and Development/teacher training have a significant association with the
organizational performance of HEIs. Although there is not a statistically significant relationship
with all dimensions of TQM, only with two, these results are in line with previous studies,
innovation strategies can provide organizations with certain benefits, which often justify the
investments made to develop new products and services in order to reach new markets or the
development of technologies, processes, and procedures to support the production of these
products and the provision of services. Concerning innovation strategies, our research showed a
significant association with organizational performance of HEIs.
Finally, the issue of internationalization has, in recent years, been playing a leading role, not only
in Europe but throughout the world. With regard to the internationalization of HEIs, several
authors have analyzed the question of their effects on these institutions in order to obtain a
sustainable competitive advantage (Ebrahimi and Sadeghi, 2014), and as a way to respond to
today’s global challenges. The results allow to conclude that internationalization strategies have
a significant association with the organizational performance of HEIs.

B. SUGGESTION
This research underscores the impact of innovation strategies on organizational performance.
Despite not establishing statistically significant relationships with all TQM dimensions, the
results affirm that innovation strategies can yield substantial benefits. The investments made to
foster new products, services, and the development of technologies, processes, and procedures
are justified by the positive outcomes observed, enabling organizations to tap into new markets
and enhance their overall efficiency.
Turning our attention to the global landscape, internationalization has emerged as a pivotal
factor, not only in Europe but worldwide. Examining the internationalization of HEIs, our study
aligns with existing literature that has explored its effects on institutions, emphasizing the pursuit
of a sustainable competitive advantage and addressing contemporary global challenges. The
conclusive results affirm a significant association between internationalization strategies and the
organizational performance of HEIs, this research sheds light on the multifaceted dynamics of
teacher involvement, development, innovation, and internationalization, all of which play
integral roles in shaping the organizational performance of Higher Education Institutions.
