Why is grammar very important in the foundation of education?

- As stated in the video, grammar is very important in the foundation of education because most
of the materials and textbooks given under our curriculum are composed of the English
language. In today’s generation, learning the rules and principles of the English language is
important due to its wide influence in our lives. Proper use of grammar gives us the ability to
communicate not only within the school grounds but also with other people, it is an advantage
on our part because we can improve our reading comprehension as well as public speaking.

Why is grammar a tool for survival?

- To survive in the society, we need to be intelligent enough to converse with other people despite
their race and nationality because it offers more opportunity to those well verse individual in this
field. English being the universal language gives us a view that learning and mastering the
language help us, not only in school but also outside the community.

Why do you think grammar has become a measure for intelligence? Or the use of English language
itself?

- According to Jovy Peregrino he stated in the video that, to be labeled as an educated person you
need to be good in using the English language. English is widely use in all aspect it may be oral or
written, and because of this it measures our capability in terms or speaking and understanding it.
Since only few people can speak and deliver the language itself it seems that a person who is
capable enough in the field of English language has a high chance of being recognized as an
intelligent individual.
