NSTP Project proposal

Objective:

● To teach students to take the opportunity to develop themselves in different


fields.
● To provide students with an opportunity to have an active participation in
meaningful programs in aid for the community.
● To have a system that will serve as a foundation necessary to support future
community service.

Project type:

● This project is to help and allow students to expand opportunities that are
available to them even at home. This will allow individuals to manage service
learning experience throughout the fields that they are in. This will aid everyone
to have a position for future growth into opportunities of work and community
service programs.

Key Points:

I. Service learning program is a method that teaches everyone about the


connection of conceptualizing community service experiences with academe,
personal growth, and responsibility to the community.
● Open opportunity not just for students but to their respective family as well
to be able to access online programs and seminars regarding mental
health issues.
● Free webinars that are open to be attended by people about media and
information literacy to expand knowledge about fake news and how our
media works.
● Open online activities to promote volunteerism to people and help the
community and work collectively for greater impacts.
II. Service learning promotes connection between community members, peers,
and even family to strengthen the bond of each other for a larger possibility of
unity within the community.
● Activities of fellowship for youth should be open for young people within
the community.
● Online games relating to volunteerism and strengthening of bonds for
youth to aim for them to be driven to give service for the community.
III. Academe should also be connected and prioritized in service learning as well as
it might be connected directly as well. As not everyone has the privilege to have
access to healthcare tutoring and offering of online courses can be done as
well.
● Online tutorials of general information available for everyone in the
community.
● Site for books online with various genres open for all ages to promote
knowledge and expand reading skills.
IV. In order to expand knowledge, research in different fields is promoted.
● Conduct research in community service and other fields to analyze
possible ways of betterment and provide solutions to social issues that
happen in the community.
V. Students should also be able to have outlets specifically with the limited set up
where people are mostly locked up inside their homes. Service learning program
promotes online workshops for various fields, whether art, cooking, business, and
others.
● Online set up of workshops for cosmetics or make up learnings that can
be used for business and personal development.
● Cooking tutorials of various cuisines and meals for people to be
knowledgeable and to know the basics of cooking that can be used for
personal survival.
● Art programs and drawing tutorials available for aspiring artists.
VI. True service learning should include acquisition of the following:
● Communication
● Teamwork
● Accountability
● Deeper-learning
● Leadership

Activity: Students must be able to learn the relevance of such activities listed above
and be able to apply the things learned in community service and personal
development. It is important to see the connection of these activities to community and
how they can play their role to the betterment of the community.
