DEAN
Doesn't matter now. Season is done.

KELLY
Well, I know I'm not the only one
countin' down the days.

Kelly indicates below. Dean looks down at his dad--

BLANE YOUNGBLOOD, now 55 years old but still an imposing man.

He off-loads a massive bag of SHINGLES from his truck and
sends them to the roof on a conveyor belt.

A BEEMER pulls into the driveway. The homeowners ANDY and

AILEEN, both 30s, get out. Andy is already annoyed hearing
hip hop from the rooftop.

Kelly pauses the grunt work to watch the expensive couple in
expensive yoga gear, sipping that expensive green juice.

Dean drives a nail into the shingle, but the hammer catches
his thumb instead. He screams and it hurts like hell.

DEAN
Faaaaak!

He explodes with rage and starts kicking a pile of shingles

that scatter off the roof --

10 EXT. DRIVEWAY - URBAN HOUSE - DAY 10

As Aileen and Andy walk up to the house, SHINGLES CRASH to

the ground just missing them. Aileen screams, dropping her
juice. It splatters all over her yoga pants.

ANDY
START Baby, baby, are you okay?

AILEEN
I got green juice all over my new
yoga pants!

Blane looks up. Andy does too, staring daggers at Dean on the
roof.

DEAN
Oh shit!

ANDY
Baby, go in the house. I'll be
there in a minute.

Aileen heads inside the house, happy to leave her husband to

deal with the Youngbloods. Andy is enraged as Dean climbs
down the ladder sweaty, dirty and apologetic.

ANDY (CONT'D)
What the hell are you doing up
there?

Dean starts picking up the shingles.

DEAN
It was an accident. I'm really
sorry I--I'll clean this all up
right away.

Kelly comes down the ladder, can't help but chuckle and it

pisses Andy off more.

ANDY
You think this is funny?

KELLY
Oh, I know it's funny. But no harm,
no foul.

ANDY
(mimics Kelly)
NO HARM, NO FOUL. You're a real
philosopher.

Kelly would normally knock a fool out for less, but he lets
this one go.

BLANE
He's just saying no one got hurt.

ANDY
What about my wife's yoga pants?
Just get your amateur hour
operation off my property!

BLANE
Just wait a minute. The job's
almost finished.

ANDY
No, you're finished. Leave
everything I've paid for already.

Blane steps forward to reason with him, but Andy takes it as

a threat and pulls out his phone.

ANDY (CONT'D)
Do I need to call the cops?

DEAN
Hey, we're going, alright? We're
going.

Dean pulls Blane back, but he violently shakes his arm free.

ANDY
Yeah, get that gorilla off my
property!

Blane turns back, but Dean is already stepping to Andy.

DEAN
What'd you say?!

Andy starts dialing 9-1-1, scurries back.

DEAN (CONT'D)
Hang up the phone.

Dean pulls out the HAMMER from his tool-belt and turns to the
BEEMER. His eyes stay on Andy when he swings the Hammer--

ANDY
No, no, no... DON'T!

The windshield shatters and glass scatters everywhere. Andy

in shock, ends the call. Dean yanks the phone from his hands
and throws it as far as he can.

"DO IT AGAIN" BY STEELY DAN comes in...

Kelly laughs while Blane gets in the truck and starts the
engine. Dean piles in with Kelly and the Youngblood's roll
out.
END

11 EXT. WORK TRUCK - TRAVELLING - DETROIT - DUSK 11

The truck rambles through suburban Detroit -- and we hear

Kelly laughing from inside.

12 INT. WORK TRUCK - TRAVELLING - DETROIT - DUSK 12

It's a good belly laugh from Kelly riding shotgun next to

Blane, the alpha dog behind the wheel.

BLANE
You happy?

KELLY
Pop, the guy was an asshole from
day one.
