BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS

MALACCAS is a dedicated footwear business that offers products made from one of the
country’s finest locally-sourced natural resources, which is rattan, to promote
sustainability and patriotism to the cultural heritage of the Philippines with each step of
using the products. The business is established with a passion and commitment to
celebrate Filipino heritage by crafting high quality footwear products where style,
sustainability, and culture seamlessly intertwine.

MISSION AND VISION OF THE BUSINESS

The mission statement of MALACCAS is “to create excellent, sustainable, and exquisite
footwear for all by utilizing the use of native raw materials of the country.” MALACCAS
aims to make the products using quality materials that will not compromise the aesthetic
and comfortability of it as well as to provide potential clients an excellent and smooth
experience in their pursuit of high-quality customer service.

For the vision statement, it is stated that “MALACCAS is an institution that contributes to
the development and innovation of the footwear industry, combining the promotion of the
country’s natural resources and the preservation of the environment.” The business
visualizes itself as being a reliable footwear brand with a promising long-term future in
providing the general public with footwear products that they will use to bring a piece of
the Philippines with them in walking towards a sustainable and greener future.
TARGET AUDIENCE

The target audience of our business are the people who likes to invest in the purchase of
quality, trendy, fashionable and comfortable footwear. The company's main target
customers are both male and female who are employed under income class B and C with
the age of 18 and above which are Gen Z and other generations. According to Arya
(2022), Gen Z or Zoomers are faster to try new products and faster to adopt than other
generations. Age and status outside the targeted customers are also welcome since
partners also consider the affordability of our product. All the purchasers have an
opportunity to speak out or suggest their desired design that will satisfy and fit them. Gen
Z or Zoomers want to buy from brands that understand their values and preferences
(Arya,2022).

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

MALACCAS offers different styles and designs as well as different sizes of shoes and
slippers that will be liked by the target market. In terms of the service, MALACCAS is
open to customization of the design based on what the customers prefer. Customer
service of MALACCAS is rated as being excellent. To establish good relationships
between the customers, MALACCAS provides good-quality products, fast services, quick
response to customer feedback, and a hands-on sales staff that treats each customer
with delight and respect. The phone number to call and the e-mail address to reach out
in the event of returns and other issues are included on the Facebook page, Instagram
account, and every poster wherein the company will manage and act quickly.

VALUE PROPOSITION

• The business utilizes rattan, quite possibly of nature's best unrefined substance, to make
footwear. The business picked rattan as the material to be utilized due to its excellent
quality and the way that it is a local of the Philippines. The organization upholds local items
on the grounds that the organization wishes to boost the use of its own assets by using
natural and environment safe materials.
• We also offer customization in our product. They can make their own design in their
slippers including the color, flower design to be put in the slippers, or minimal design
depends on their own way on how to design it.
• There are also limited-edition footwear products to be offered in the market like summer
collections, and gothic collections.

TARGET LOCATION

The location of the business is located at 212 Mac Arthur Highway Karuhatan, Valenzuela
City.
POINT OF SALES

We have different social media platforms that we used. We have Facebook page,
Instagram page, and also online shops such as Shopee and Tiktok.
CAPITALIZATION PER PARTNERS

The agreed capitalization for this project is amounting to P9,000.00 pesos. Since the
business is partnership and is consisted of 9 members, the capitalization will be equally
divided by partners. With that, the total contribution of each partner will be P1,000 pesos
which is equally divided.

PRICING STRATEGY

The pricing strategies that the business use is cost-plus pricing in which the products
have different prices and mark-ups. The prices are based on the cost of raw materials,
labor, and the customer demand. For example, the products that the business offers has
100% mark up while for the products that are part of a collection like those in Gothic has
120% mark up because it is limited edition.

The business used pricing strategies such as discount, coupons and freebies. These
pricing strategies have conditional offers before the customers can have it. For example,
for the business grand opening, the first 100 customers that will purchase any product of
the business worth 1,500 pesos and up will get the 25% discount. The business will have
discounts every month to attract the customers to buy the products.

ADVERTISING STRATEGY

MALACCAS will utilize the use of trending social media platforms such as Tiktok in
advertising the products and services being offered. The business will use paid
advertisements in Tiktok and create ads that will appeal to the public specifically towards
the specific target market. The business will also use flyers and brochures in promoting
the products.
OPERATING HOURS

As MALACCAS execute pre-orders, accommodating customers inquiries upon ordering


the products will starts on 10am up until 9pm. The staff’s availability schedules are on
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday wherein there is
a bit difference on the working hours every Mondays and Wednesdays to attend their
personal schedules that is outside the business. The product selling starts on 6th of
November to 7th of December to work on selling the products.

POLICIES ON PAYMENT AND SCHEDULING

OVERVIEW

Cash flow and liquidity management is of paramount importance for


MALACCAS. This payment policy has been designed to maximize profits
and profits on sales revenue while minimizing exposure to slow-paying
customers and business losses, thereby ensuring a healthy cash and
working capital position.

SCOPE

This policy applies to all sales of MALACCAS products to customers. All


departments within MALACCAS are responsible for the sale, marketing,
order acceptance; scheduling and shipment of products must adhere to the
policy and guidelines below.

POLICIES

• MALACCAS only accepts payment from Cash and GCASH.

• Down payment must be made. Half of the price of the product needs
to be paid to make the product immediately. The other half of the
payment should be paid, in full and in cleared funds, after the product
has been received.

• No cancellation of order once down payment is made.

• No Refund.

AMMENDMENT

MALACCAS may, in its sole and absolute discretion, amend these terms
and conditions, or any part thereof at any time without notice.
