CORREQUISITOS:

JUSTIFICATION: Uses high interest themes to integrate speaking, grammar, vocabulary,

pronunciation, listening, reading and writing. To use real world topics that are relevant to
student’s lives, so they can share opinions and information productively. In addition, cultural
information stimulates cross-cultural comparison and discussion. The underlying philosophy
of the program remains that language is best learned when it is used for meaningful
communication.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

This program offers updated content in every unit and opportunities to develop the following
skills.

1. GRAMMAR: Interchange 3 Level 1 presents the basic structures, reviews and expands on
them. Students notice the new grammar in context and then they learn and practice using
the grammar forms. In other words, students acquire new grammar by using it, and
grammar is a means to and end-communicative competence.

2. VOCABULARY: Interchange 3 Level 1 Vocabulary development plays a key role in this

program. Students might use, productive vocabulary which students are encourage to use
and practice and receptive new vocabulary which is introduce to the students primarily by
reading and listening exercises.

3. SPEAKING: Interchange 3 Level 1 Speaking is central focused in this program with

emphasis on natural, conversational language. In addition, the conversations illustrate
different speaking strategies, such as how to open and close conversations, ask follow-up
questions, take turns and use filter words. Almost all speaking exercises offer fun,
personalized speaking practice and opportunities to share opinions.

4. LISTENING: Interchange 3 Level 1 The listening exercises for all levels provide focus
questions or tasks that give students a purpose for listening. Moreover, most
conversations in this level provide follow-up listening tasks to work in class.

5. READING: Interchange 3 Level 1 The students read a variety of text types (news paper,
magazine articles, surveys, letters) for different purposes. They skim texts for main ideas, for
specific information or details. Also they complete exercises that help develop reading
strategies and skills.

5. WRITING: Interchange 3 Level 1 Students write a variety of real-world text types. These
exercises recycle and review the themes, vocabulary and grammar in the unit.

6. PRONUNCIATION: Interchange 3 Level 1 The pronunciation syllabus focuses an

important feature of spoken English such as word stress, intonation and linked sounds.
Students typically notice and then practice a pronunciation feature linked to the new
grammar or vocabulary.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To develop an academic activity, the English Department promotes the English Club in order to
enhance a “live communicative approach” to improve the English learning. As well, we look for an
space in which every student could participate and interact in a fluency way according to his/her
language knowledge.

JUSTIFICATION

1. To enhance all the students to speak in English and to develop this habit as an usual activity to
respond to the bilingual environment our country has now a days.
2. To know about other cultures to understand better the current World.
3. To perform different activities to improve students’ skills at all levels to develop a better

INGLES. 4. To show English not just as other subject, but as a tool, that becomes useful to be a better
professional and to develop better skills in other fields.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

1. To teach English as a fun activity while the students learn. To avoid the conventional teaching
way.
2. Through oral activities in groups, the students won’t be afraid of speaking inf front others and
will acquire fluency to speak the language.
3. To develop comprehension and listening skills by interacting in different games.
4. To experience new ways of being in contact with English language and to promote a cultural
exchange.
OTHER  English Placement Test. Every student who starts a pre graduate program has the right to present
ACTIVITIES this test in order to be placed in a level that corresponds to his/her knowledge. This exam is
performed at the beginning of each term.
 Permanent English Club. During the period and according to the mission of IDEAS, the students
ENGLISH have a permanent space on which they can share information, look for tutoring and solve any
DEPARTMENT doubt they have.

 Enterprise Consultancy. According to the academic calendar, every student can look for English
advice to solve their doubts regarding vocabulary, style and specific terms related with the
company.
 International Day. It is part of the English Club and it encourages the students to know about
other cultures, special those who speak English, their customs and vocabulary.
 Enterprise Sample. The student must show the company Esther in English or Spanish. Before the
end of the term all the English teachers will work with the different groups for preparing the
executive memo and the basic information about the company each student owns. All the
teachers grade: vocabulary use, fluency, and the skills the student has for introduce the company
in a foreign language.
Durante el recorrido se aplicaran las técnicas de observación, los conocimientos sobre descripción
de entornos, la recolección de información de fuentes primarias y secundarías, presentara el
SALIDA
informe de la salida con la técnica del diario de campo. (Anexos). De acuerdo a los talleres, se
DÍA ECOLOGICO tendrá en cuenta para el análisis del componente ecológico de cada una de las empresas que deberá
incorporarse al proyecto.
Todas las carreras, semestres y jornadas. Los alumnos deben sustentar el Caso Gerencial dentro del
marco de la Olimpiada de Informática. Los alumnos tienen la obligación de traer los elementos para
realizar su exposición y estar por lo menos diez (10) minutos antes de iniciar este evento académico
con el fin de que esta olimpiada se caracterice por su orden y cumplimiento los estudiantes
participaran según el caso y de acuerdo a su nivel.

Participan todas las carreras, semestres y jornadas., es un acto eminentemente estudiantil, académico
y empresarial, que busca promover la construcción de una cultura investigativa y empresarial en las
Facultades, dentro del contexto de su planeación estratégica.

La Muestra Empresarial tiene por objeto fomentar y dar a conocer el estudio, la búsqueda y solución
de aplicaciones, así como nuevas orientaciones técnicas, tecnológicas, científicas, sociales,
económicas, formativas y educativas, para contribuir al progreso de la comunidad, la ciencia, el
desarrollo del país y el fortalecimiento de cada una de las áreas del conocimiento de las empresas de
Ecología, de los Ecologistas Empresarios y del fortalecimiento de las acciones para mejorar y
MUESTRA preservar el medio ambiente.
EMPRESARIAL
La CORPORACIÓN UNIVERSITARIA DE COLOMBIA IDEAS tiene como propósito los
siguientes objetivos específicos:

 Programar y realizar una Muestra Empresarial semestral en

un marco de plena autonomía científica, libertad investigativa y desarrollo empresarial
autónomo de acuerdo a los perfiles de cada uno de los planes de estudio.
 Dar a conocer a la comunidad en general de una manera
creativa los alcances y desarrollos; de las ideas de proyectos, de los proyectos empresariales,
de las empresas constituidas y de los proyectos institucionales que están siendo desarrollados

en la Facultad de Ciencias Ecológicas y las demás Facultades de la Institución.

 Coordinar las actividades y talleres académicos para orientar
en el marco de la muestra a la comunidad en general sobre los métodos y las formas para la
conformación de empresas.
 Busca acercamientos entre las autoridades locales, las
instituciones ambientales, las empresas públicas y privadas y la comunidad en general para el
desarrollo de proyectos conjuntos, en beneficio de lo local, municipal, departamental y
nacional.
 Generar los ambientes adecuados que estimulen la Creación
de Empresas, proyectos, programas y actividades que redunden en las acciones necesarias para
mejorar y preservar el medio ambiente, así como la solución a las necesidades más
apremiantes del sector local, municipal, departamental y nacional.
 Facilitar y acompañar la búsqueda de alternativas posibles
para la financiación de proyectos.
 Prestar asesoría técnica a las entidades públicas y privadas
que así lo requieran, en el marco de la Muestra.

EVALUACIÓN:

El Club de Ingles, La Olimpiada Informática y la Salida Ecológica que suman 32 horas de actividades de aplicación teórica
en la práctica y que fortalecen el Proyecto Educativo Institucional tienen un valor de medio crédito. Semestral y es
Obligatorio.

REGLAMENTO ESTUDIANTIL TITULO VII DE LAS CALIFICACIONES:

Artículo 53 Escala: Las calificaciones oscilarán entre cero (0.0) y cinco (5.0), contados en unidades y decimales. Si al
realizar el computo definitivo resultan centésimas, éstas se aproximarán a la décima superior si su valor es igual o superior a
cinco (5) y se anularán si su valor es menor que cinco (5).

Artículo 53 Anulación: Cuando haya necesidad de anular una prueba por fraude, la calificación será de cero (0.0). En caso
de intento de fraude, el profesor podrá anular total o parcialmente la prueba.

Artículo 55 Calificaciones Aprobatorias: Las calificaciones aprobatorias son:

a) De tres cero (3.0) para las materias cursadas en esta institución.
b) De cuatro cero (4.0) para las materias cursadas en otras Universidades con las condiciones fijadas en el artículo 20 de
este reglamento.
c) De cuatro cero (4.0) para exámenes de validación por transferencia o de homologación por suficiencia.
d) Del 70 % mínimo para aprobar los exámenes de grado y preparatorios. No se establece nota numérica como en los
demás. Se pública: Aprobado o Reprobado.

Artículo 56 Calificación definitiva: La calificación definitiva de cada una de las materias en las Facultades se obtiene de
los siguientes porcentajes:
a) Cinco (5) notas de 20% cada una.
b) Se podrán repartir las cinco evaluaciones en escritas, orales y prácticas.
c) En casos muy especiales, el Consejo Académico podrá variar estos porcentajes, como también la modalidad o el
método.
d) Se promedian las cinco (5) calificaciones para obtener la nota definitiva, la cual debe ser tres cero (3.0) o más, hasta un
máximo de cinco cero (5.0) , para aprobar la asignatura.
e) Esto solamente rige para las materias regulares y los seminarios del curriculum de cada Carrera. Para las otras, podría
ser igual, pero usualmente el sistema se acomoda a cada circunstancia.

Se entiende que su aplicación se refiere a parciales, habilitaciones, cursos remédiales y otras evaluaciones, diferentes a las
de grado, Validación por transferencia, Homologación por Suficiencia y Exámenes preparatorios de la Facultad de Derecho.

Artículo 57 Asignaturas Teórico-Prácticas: El Consejo Académico determinará cuales son las asignaturas teórico-
prácticas y dará conocimiento a los alumnos de los pensum y programas curriculares correspondientes.

Artículo 58 Derecho del Alumno a Conocer la Nota: El profesor tiene la obligación de hacer conocer al estudiante el
resultado de su prueba o examen, antes de rendir el informe correspondiente a la Facultad, dentro de los cinco días
siguientes a la prueba. Las evaluaciones escritas deben ser devueltas a los respectivos estudiantes en un lapso igual. El
estudiante debe conservar estos exámenes escritos al menos hasta el día en que empiecen las habilitaciones del respectivo
semestre. Los reclamos deben formularse al Profesor dentro de los cinco días hábiles siguientes al recibo de la evaluación.

Artículo 59 Publicación de Notas: La respectiva oficina académica publicará en cartelera y/o a través de los equipos de
cómputo, los resultados de las pruebas colectivas, a los diez días hábiles del examen.

Artículo 60 Revisión de Exámenes: El Decano de cada Facultad, atenderá las solicitudes de los Estudiantes relacionadas
con la revisión de sus exámenes, teniendo en cuenta que así como la calificación puede mantenerse o aumentarse, también
puede disminuirse. Este punto se refiere únicamente a exámenes escritos. En ningún caso esta solicitud podrá pasar de
veinte (20) días calendario.

El Decano tendrá diez (10) días hábiles para tramitar la revisión, a partir de la fecha de solicitud.

No se revisarán exámenes orales o aquellos que no tengan una prueba documentaría como base de la revisión.

Los exámenes de Grado y los Preparatorios, no son revisables, ya que su base es fundamentalmente oral y la parte escrita de
estos dos exámenes no se devuelve, pues no tendría sentido, debido a que no son revisables.

TIPOS DE CREDITOS

1. Obligatorios: Son aquellos que corresponden a cursos prescritos por el programa, sin posibilidad de escogencia por
parte del estudiante.

2. Parcialmente Libres: Son aquellos que se cumplen cuando el estudiante puede escoger de un grupo de cursos
establecidos por el Programa y ofrecidos por los diferentes departamentos académicos.

3. Libres: Aquellos que corresponden a cursos relacionados y no relacionados con la profesión, que el estudiante
puede escoger libremente, a su entera discreción, bajo la guía del director de programa.
