A 10 years old child presents with complaints of fever, nausea, vomiting,
abdominal discomfort & loss of appetite for last 5 days. He also gives history of food intake by contaminated hands & passage of visible worms in stool.
EXAMINATION: Fever: 101 F
Pulse: 90/mins
Per abdominal examination: tenderness and abdominal guarding
INVESTIGATIONS:
ESR: raised
Complete blood picture (CPC): Eosinophilia
Stool examination: brown round eggs with thick shell.
Ultrasound abdomen: ileal worm bolus
