Fanaticism in football: murder of Andres Escobar.

In the podcast we explain what happened to Andres Escobar, through reflection on

fanaticism in football and what can happen when we do not measure the consequences. We

also present other cases that are also worth remembering.

I chose this topic because it seems important to me to remember this fact, as an

element that expresses the lowest level of fanaticism and why we must consider more

elements than fanaticism before making a decision. I also wanted to present a perhaps

unknown facet of Andres Escobar that goes beyond the own goal and his death, his most

human side and how this affected the people who were by his side.

Furthermore, it is a current topic, given that there is still excessive fanaticism, we

want to make known a relevant case to invite reflection. and other not so well-known cases

to understand that violence can generalize to football. The initiative is not against football,

but rather for fans to take into consideration what happened to exercise their fanaticism

without harming others or themselves.
