Speaking Presentation

Instructions:

• In groups of two, three or four, make a presentation


about a famous writer from any country in the world
that interest you all.
• Answer the following questions in your presentation:
o Who are they and where are they from?
o What are their most famous books? Briefly
explain one.
o Which places are associated with them?
o Is there a tourist industry connected to them?
o Have any of their books been made into
movies?
o What interest you most about them?
• Use text and pictures to give more information about the writer.
• You must use the modals of speculation and deduction in their present and
past form when talking about the writer or the books (at least three times).
• For the presentation, use PPT, Canvas or Prezi.
• The cover must include the logo of the school, a title (name of the author),
name of the participants, grade, name of the teacher, date and a picture that
represents the author such as a picture of them or a cover of a book.
• You will be assessed on:
o Use of English
o Content (modals of deduction and speculation)
o Pronunciation and fluency
o Volume
o Preparedness and memory
o Presentation answers all the questions and includes text and pictures.
o Student’s behaviour during the presentation.
o Student’s personal presentation.
