Creative Connections: Restaurant review

Have you ever been to Raising Canes? To answer my own question, I hadn’t been there

until one opened this year only 20 minutes away, in Methuen. I was skeptical at first because I

didn't have very high expectations for this new chicken place right next to Chick-Fil-A, which I

thought was the best. But, after seeing many Tiktok videos reviewing the chain of Canes across

the country, my taste buds began to crave it, even though I had never tasted it before. My mouth

yearned to taste not just the tenders and fries, but mostly the sauce which is signature to Canes

and the Texas toast which seemed to pair perfectly with the meal. When I finally got there I

realized that although Canes is only seen as a fast-food restaurant, it is much more than that. The

first bite of the tenders with the sauce sent me straight to heaven. There are so many different

combos you can make with your meal whether it be any of the food alone, the tenders and fries,

or the tender sandwich in the toast with fries, it all tastes perfect with the peppery orange sauce

served on the side. The crinkle-cut fries are cooked to perfection in the sizzling hot oil. The

perfectly crispy chicken tenders are to die for. The sauce pairs perfectly with both of them to dip

or drizzle. And the Texas toast is just the cherry on top.

The Canes in Methuen has perfected their whole menu after just opening a few months

ago. I arrived there for the first time about a week after the opening day. The line to order inside

was out the door, and the drive-through line was around the buildings and into the other parking

lot. Even though the line was so long, I was probably only standing in it for about 7 minutes
before ordering. The workers there made the service fast and executed in an organized manner.

Once I ordered it was only a few minutes until they called my name at the front counter. It wasn't

hard to find an open seat that was clean because the workers were constantly walking around

cleaning empty tables, taking out the trash, and picking up food. The food was just as good as I

had heard and even better the first time tasting it.

The Canes in Methuen not only had amazing cooks who cooked the food to perfection,

but they also had workers who showed hospitality to all of the customers. No one was rude or

annoyed at the amount of people in the new restaurant. They all smiled and greeted you when

you walked in and again when you ordered. They even had the manager walking around to every

table asking if they had everything they needed and if the food came out alright. Of course

everyone's answer to those questions were yes. The effort that all of the workers put in to make

eating at Canes an enjoyable experience was astonishing. I have never seen the organization and

hospitality displayed to the extent of the Canes workers in Methuen, especially in a restaurant so

new.

Raising Canes deserves five stars because this chain restaurant has the food, hospitality,

organization, cleanliness, and fast time response of any other sit down restaurant. It may even be

better. Although it is considered a fast food restaurant, there is no doubt that hundreds of people

sit down and eat with their families there everyday. This inclusive restaurant has become one of

my favorites this year for me and my family and friends. I crave it on a daily basis and you will

after one bite.
