The Cow and The Horse

A farmer had a cow and a horse. He used the two animals to carry his vegetables to
the market. The cow was bigger than the horse, so the farmer usually gave it more to
carry.

The way to the market was over a tall hill and it takes a very long time. The horse
carried less vegetables than the cow, so it could move up the hill easily and reach in
three hours. However, it was much harder for the cow so the cow needs six hours to
reach. It would ask the horse for help to carry some of its vegetables so that the cow
can reach in five hours, but the horse always said no.

One day, they were again on their way to the market when the sky turned dark. The
farmer wanted them to go faster. It was too much for the cow. It fell and hurt its leg.
The farmer saw that and sent the cow home. He then took the cow's vegetables and put
them on the horse. The horse had to carry its own vegetables as well as the cow's.

"I should have helped the cow," the horse said, but it was too late.

just before noon, he climbed a hill. After a difficult climb, he was excited to

Bobby taught Lola how to find his way back using the stars as a guide. Lola
