In this pattern I used Sport weight/4ply yarn YarnArt

Jeans (50g/160m), but you are welcome to use any other
similar yarn weight and yarn colors.
Note: I crochet very tightly, the size of the finished box may depend on this. Also, the yarn
will determine whether your box can keep its shape. If you have very soft and thin yarn, then
even though the box is two threads, it may not hold its shape and look completely different
from my photos.
I recommend using yarn that has a fairly good twist. A yarn with a composition of 55%
cotton, 45% acrylic (YarnArt Jeans) or another similar composition is ideal.
In the process of crocheting, the pieces of the box must be ironed so that they do not twist
and are even.
Bow Size:
- height 6 cm (2.36’’);
- horizontal width 13.5 cm (5.31’’);
- vertical width 12 cm (4.72’’).
The crocheting is not complicated, the main thing is to carefully follow the description and
the result will surely please you.
The box will be a good gift, both on Valentine's Day and on other holidays. It can be a
wonderful box for storing jewelry or anything else.

1. Sport weight/4ply yarn YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m):
- for the box – pink #36, dark pink #42, white #01.
- for letters – white #01, red #90.
50g yarn ball of pink and dark pink colors will be enough, white and red need less.
2. Hook size 2.0mm for 4ply yarn YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m).

3. Toy stuffing material.
4. Scissors.
5. Stitch marker.
The indicated materials are my recommendation, a list of what I used to create the box. You
can use any materials you like, but you should understand that changing the materials entails
changing the result.

Description.
The box consists of two parts: a cover and a bottom.
In turn, the bottom and the cover also consist of two parts of different colors: pink
(inside the box) and dark pink (outside the box).
All pieces are crocheted according to the same description, however, there are a little
more rounds in the bottom on the sides, fewer rounds in the cover.
All pieces must be ironed. Read the description carefully, it will indicate at what point it
needs to be done.
Also note that at the end of crocheting (when your pieces are ready) you will need to
give the bottom and cover the correct heart shape with your hands. Everything will be in
the description. Please read carefully.
Bottom.
Consists of two parts of different colors.
Crochet the first (inner) part in pink.

Next, we need to connect the two parts of the bottom together.
Fold the parts with the wrong side to each other and crochet through back loops of the dark
pink part and back loops of the pink (inner) part.
Note: front loops on the dark pink part should be free. We will crochet the edging with white
yarn.

At the end, cut the yarn and hide ends inside.

Carefully correct the box with your hands, form a heart. Fold / bend the corner at the bottom
of the heart and at the top. Align the sides. Make sure that the heart is the correct and beautiful
shape.
Using white yarn crochet around dark pink part in front loops of Rnd 12.
Attach the yarn and crochet 130 inc (i.e. 2 sc in each loop).

Cover.
Consists of two parts of different colors. It is crocheted almost according to the same
description as the bottom. Differs only in the number of rounds on the side.
Crochet the first (inner) part in pink.

pink part and back loops of the pink (inner) part.
Note: front loops on the dark pink part should be free. We will crochet the edging with white
yarn.

At the end, cut the yarn and hide the ends inside.
Carefully correct the box with your hands, form a heart. Fold / bend the corner at the bottom
of the heart and at the top. Align the sides. Make sure that the heart is the correct and beautiful
shape.
Using white yarn crochet around dark pink part in front loops of Rnd 12.
Attach the yarn and crochet 130 inc (i.e. 2 sc in each loop).

The next step is to connect the bottom and cover of the box so that it can open and look
like a real box.
Assembly.
Before connecting both parts, spread the cover and bottom with your hands so that both
hearts are similar in shape.
Turn the box towards us with the upper part of the heart.
You need to find the middle and mark it with a contrasting thread. Look at the next photo.

Then count 10 and 18 sc in one direction, mark with a contrasting thread as per the photo.
And in the other direction also - 10 and 18 sc. These are the places for connection the bottom
and the cover.
Visually check that the connection points are symmetrical.
Take the dark pink yarn, attach first on one side and crochet 9 sc, cut the yarn, hide the ends
inside. Then attach from the second side and also crochet 9 sc, hide the ends inside.

If suddenly your box does not look even inside, you can use a thin sewing thread and needle,
carefully sew up the parts together. It will be enough to sew hearts on the first rounds,
foundation chain and crochet the first or second rounds.
The box is ready.

Letters.
Each letter consists of two identical parts, which are connected. There is a small amount
of fiberfill inside the letters to make them look voluminous.
“I” (make 2).
