MFA RELEASE TOKEN PROCESS

Make sure the device time is set to automatic and after adjusting, reboot and try again. In the past
we saw issues when devices had their time set as manual because the device time is used to
determine the sequence for the MFA codes.
• iPhone: General > date and time > set automatically
• Android: “Settings” > “General Management” > “Date and Time” > “Automatic Date and
Time”.

After changing the time setting, please restart your mobile device and try again.
Please note that while registering, after giving your credentials, please make sure that you click on
the Sign in/Validate button only once.
Clicking the Sign in/Validate button for more than one time can lead to redirecting to another page
(Application Group Page).

If you continue to receive an "Invalid Token" error, even after following the above steps, please
follow the steps below.

1) Delete Microsoft Authenticator from your Mobile.

2) Access the IAM portal.


For the Vale network: https://iamportal.valeglobal.net/
Inside the Vale network: https://portal.iam.valeglobal.net/IDMProv/jsps/login/Login.jsp

Please try to use browsers other than Internet Explorer.

3) Click on "Make a process request"

4) Select the "Vale applications" option and click "Continue"3


5) Click "MFA - Remove or change device"

6) Click "Submit"
7) Verify that the association has been removed from the IAM homepage by clicking on "Request
Status", Verify that the "MFA - Remove or Change Device" request is set to "Complete: Approved".

8) Install the Microsoft Authenticator App on your phone.

Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator application on your phone.


9) Register again in the MFA

After that you can register your phone on MFA using the MFA registration link - (https://ids-
prd.valeglobal.net/nidp/jsp/main.jsp?id=totp_id).
I suggest you to do the registration process in a computer/Laptop.
Please follow the below procedure for MFA registration:

MFA information is available on the intranet site. There is a tutorial video on how to register, user
guides and FAQ. The site is available in Portuguese and English.
The path is: Institutional and services > Information Technology > Communication and Collaboration
tools > Email > Multi Factor Authentication.
Please note that while registering, after giving your credentials, please make sure that you click on

Also you can install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile for the 6 digit code
generation.

After Logging in, Please Click the IT Support – QR CODE.


Scan this QR code using the Microsoft Authenticator App in your mobile device to add the account.
After that you will get a 6 digit code in your App. Enter this 6 Digit code in the MFA Registration
page.(Bottom of the page).
Please make sure that the time in your mobile Device and in Desktop/Laptop are same.
After successfully added the 6 digit code you will get the below screen when you complete your
registration successfully.
