Intramurals 2024 Implementing


Rules and Regulations
IRR 1.1. All participants must play by the rules. Cluster Team Leaders or Program

Heads are responsible for making their team aware of the rules.

IRR 1.2. Participants, coaches, and fans must conduct themselves in an appropriate,

sportsmanlike manner, such as vulgar words and provocative actions at all

times during the competition. Officials have the right to eject any individual

for un-sportsmanlike conduct.

IRR 1.3. No chewing of tobacco, vaping or smoking. Consumption of alcohol or drugs

is not tolerated. Those suspected of intoxication will not be allowed to play for

the safety of themselves and others. Fans suspected of intoxication or using

tobacco will also be forced to leave the premises and be suspended for 1

game.

IRR 1.4. Academic Council Members has the discretion to remove players, coaches,

or fans that do not follow policies.

IRR 1.5. All participants must wear athletic shoes, a shirt, and athletic shorts/pants to

participate. Shirts MUST be worn, even under pinnies; No boots, sandals, flip

flops; Metal cleats are not allowed for any sport; No khakis or dress pants;

Non-athletic headwear, jewelry (necklaces, watches, rings), and hard knee or

elbow braces are not allowed. Other attire/equipment allowed but not

required.

IRR 1.6. There will 4 teams for this year’s Intramurals.

IRR 1.7. A game of succession will be observed. This means that all players must be

ready at all times in the game area.

IRR 1.8. Schedule of Games will be posted in separate documents but take note of
the consolidated game area:

IRR 1.9. Pointing System for Games and Sports.

Disqualified and Forfeited team will not receive any point.

IRR 1.10. Volleyball, Basketball, Sepak Takraw, Softball, Frisbee, Badminton and

Table Tennis will follow Double Elimination while Larong Lahi, Tug of War &

Softball are Single Elimination games. Chess is by point system.

IRR 1.11. There will be 3 calls in every game with 2 minutes interval. Failure to

reach the gaming area 5 minutes after the third and final call will be forfeited.

IRR 1.12. Clusters will be assigned to the following quarters:

IRR 1.13. Any form of complaint will not be entertained unless written documents

will be endorsed in the office of the DSA 2 hours after the end of the

competition.
