CONCLUSION AND INTERPRETATION

The phrase "gig worker" refers to self-employed individuals

who work on ad hoc projects or assignments for a variety of
clients or businesses. They make up a rising portion of the
labour market and are frequently employed by companies that
operate online, such TaskRabbit, TaskRabbit, and Uber.

The ability to work on demand is one of the key advantages.

Employees who work on gigs may choose their own hours and
the tasks they want to do. Although revenue from gig labour
might fluctuate from month to month, it can also be
unpredictable.

Based on my study, I claim that challenges faced by gig workers

include low sales thresholds, lower income, a lack of social
support, and less time off for work. Numerous gig workers lack
proper training and have become used to technology as well as
social life in the large metropolis.
Gig workers' lack of benefits and protections is another issue
that raises worries. Unlike to regular employment, gig workers
are not eligible to benefits like health insurance, retirement
plans, or paid time off. They are also not protected by labour
laws and regulations that shield conventional workers from
prejudice and exploitation.

Overall, the emergence of gig labour is altering how work is

done and how people are employed, therefore it is critical for
companies and legislators to address the issues that gig
workers face in order to treat them fairly and provide the
safeguards they require.
