Technical description DURESCA®

The DURESCA® busbar are fully insulated compact busbar system, type RIP (resin impregnated paper).
The insulation lays directly on the conductor and consists of wrapped paper dried under vacuum and
impregnated with epoxy resin. Conductive grading layers are embedded during the wrapping in the
insulation for the best field control. The earth layer of 50 mm2 which can take up an internal short circuit
current of 8 kA/ 1 sec. is entirely embedded in the insulation and provides a complete electrical screen.
This guarantees the highest operational and human safety.

The DURESCA® busbar system is calculated on an ambient temperature of 40°C. The temperature rise
of the conductor at rated current can be up to 50 K.

On the whole length of the bar, the surface of the insulation is covered by a corrugated protection tube in
polyamid, aluminium or stainless steel. This protection tube provides an effective barrier against moisture
ingress.

Note:
When installing and commissioning the DURESCA® busbar system, it is essential to ensure that the
busbar system including brackets is earthed in accordance with the specifications in our dimension
drawing and connected to a single earth potential.
Different earth potentials can lead to damage to persons and plant components.

Due to a high current circulating in main conductor, a magnetic field occurs around the system. The use
of magnetic materials like steel in the narrow of busbars should be submitted to agreement between
customer and MGC.

Multiple documentation is possible and will be charged.

Included in the scope of delivery are the standard fastening material and earth clamps. The included
standard fastening material is calculated for a busbar - wall or ceiling distance of max. 1.50m. Larger
distances or special fastening supports etc. will be charges upon needed items.

Included in the scope of delivery is the complete earthing material (copper wire cross section 50mm2).

Remark:
While mounting or taking the DURESCA® busbars into operation it is a must to connect the complete
busbar system as well as the support material according to our drawings and recommendations on one
single earth potential.
Different earth potentials may cause risks for human beings as well as for the complete system.

Each additional day will be charged according to the daily rate.

Note: The Travel Tickets, Hotel, daily expenses... for the client's inspector(s) are excluded.

FAT Test are carried out on pre-selected items up to max. 10% of the to be delivered parts.

Routine test according to IEC 60137, 2017-06 performed on each individual sleeve (Um > 12kV) and
busbar.

Increase/ decrease in price:

Our prices are based on the information are available to us, upon preparation of our proposal and as per
the terms contained herein. Deviations leading to additional effort or supplies due to inconsistencies
between design and actual dimensions will be changed on a cost plus basis. Prices can also decrease if
parts which are included in this quotation are not needed.

50%contract comes into force when the accepted (by client and MGC) letter of credit is available.

All dates guaranteed under the condition that the payments are on time.
The manufacturing will only be started after the receipt of the payment.
When the payments take place at a later time the date of delivery has to be mutually agreed upon.

Delivery time:
30 weeks (ex works) after approval of drawings.
The confirmed delivery date can only be guaranteed if the drawings are approved by the customer on
time.

Warranty:
24 months after taking into operation, but latest 30 months after information ready for shipment.
The warranty only refers to contractual deliveries by MGC, any further liability is excluded. The liability of
the Company to the Purchaser shall not in any case exceed the cost of the defective part. Seller shall not
be liable for damage due to act of ordinary negligence nor for consequential damages or damages for
economic losses, or claims against Buyer resulting from third-party.
