REFERENCE: Chapters 5 - 7 of Thomas S. Kuhn’s The Copernican Revolution

1) Difficult Concepts

2) Learning Insights
a) Before reading the article, I thought that the revolution was mainly
about physics and religion.
However, after reading the article, I now think/learned that its core
was a transformation of mathematical astronomy.
b) Before reading the article, I thought that this would be a perfect book
between being logical or about belief.
However, after reading the article, I now think/learned that this book
separated the audience for “science” from the audience of “history" and
“philosophy.”
c) Before reading the article, I thought that this ancient discovery was
kind of more philosophical and cosmological.
However, after reading the article, I now think/learned that
mathematical skills were most likely used to reach this discovery.

3) Discussion Questions
a) Were the stars a help in providing evidence for Copernicanism?
b) Can Cosmology be transferred by the existence of Copernicanism?
c) Is this topic still up to relevance and significance to us today?
