OVERVIEW OF SUMMER CAMP 2024

Summer Camp 2024 is a collaboration of several groups to come up with a

powerhouse lineup of base activities.
FIREMANSHIP - Scouts will learn the basics of the fire triangle and the rudiments
of firefighting and emergency evacuation. The base activity will be conducted by
the personnels of Naga City Bureau of Fire protection headed by SFO3 Mario
Reburiano Jr. a Civil Engineer and Scout Citizen Awardee.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS The base activity will be highlighted by a rapelling

training wherein Scouts will be required to descend down a 20-foot vertical wall.
This activity will be cindycted by the Gryphon Fire Volunteer and Rescue headed
by Sctr. Emmanuel Agreda and Mr. Denz Larman.

WEATHER Scouts will gain understanding of weather phenomena and learn the
rudiments of weather forecasting. The activity will be conducted by Mr. Typhoon
himself, Mike Padua of Typhoon 2000.

NAVIGATION Scouts will learn to find their way through predetermined courses at
night using the stars. This activity will be conducted by Sctr. Warren R. Chavez,
Geodetic Engineer and Scout Citizen Awardee.

WATER SAFETY Scouts will learn what to do and what to do when in water. The
activity which will be highlighted by a rope crossing will be conducted by the
Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliaries headed by Aux. Ensign Kenn Bernard Basa.

SIGNALLING The Scouts will learn to send and receive messages through morse
code using wigwag flags. The activity will be conducted by Bagacay Outfit headed
by Sctr. Carlo Paul Ubaldo, Eagle Scout Awardee.

YOUNG SCOUTS HOLIDAY KAB Scouts, Star Scouts, KID Scouts and Twinklers will
spend the afternoon at the camp with fun activities and games. The activity will be
officiated by Sctr. Nydia Sol, Council Deputy Commissioner for KAB Scouting.

SCOUTS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS ROADSHOW The Roadshow

will showcase the different initiatives that can be conducted under the project. The
Roadshow will be conducted of the ULAP Scouts under Sctr. Marianne Punzalan.
