Study Plan

It was the first day of Bengali New Year when my elder brother and some of his friends had a
stall in the fair of that celebration. In the second day of the fair I discovered myself in charge of
the store, as no one was there for an hour. Though I was present in the store the first day, I was
trembling with fear. But it did not take long to astonish me as a 15 year old boy like me was
enjoying this day.That incident fascinated my thoughts towards business. Afterwards I began to
participate in organizing events arranged by country’s largest NGO to help the children. I
completed my secondary school certificate in 2015 and higher secondary certificate in 2017.
Besides academic I also involved in volunteer activities in some organizations like Jaggo
Foundation, Red Crescent Bangladesh etc. I was a student of science till my 10 th grade. However
managing the organizations I found that, I have a knack and passion for business.
I am entering the most crucial phase in my life; a phase during which I need to make a
significant academic decisions that will have a bearing on my future life and career. After
thorough introspection of my strengths and interests, I have concluded that a program that
integrates Economics, Accounts and Business studies is the most appropriate choice for me. I
highly believe that business is influenced by modernization introduced to this world. Purchasing,
shopping, selling, discounting and promoting are all part of the business in its day to day life.
This is one field on which I am extremely interested and would love to learn more about it. I
have always felt drawn to the field of business management because I believe that it is a really
exciting environment with several challenges and demands. However, one thing that really
excites me is the way in which it can both, directly and indirectly, influence the life of the
people. The employment for business studies students have always been strong, especially for
students like me who can think out of the box and are open to new ideas, concepts, and business
strategies. Moreover, my father, who is my sponsor is a business person. He has been involved in
RMG and Agro business for a long period of time. These two sector are the most flourishing
sector in the developing economy of Bangladesh.
After doing some intensive research, I chose Canada in order to fulfill my dream. Though many
of the public and private universities offer bachelor of business administration, I found that the
value of foreign bachelor degree is much higher than the local one. Moreover, this degree in
Canada at University of Regina will ensure more practical knowledge with some internship
program to different multinational companies. Through different forms of research, I came to
know that Canada is ranked to be one of the most advanced education provider in the world and
it is also one of the best economically developed countries which owns millions of business
organizations. Study of Business Administration in Canada is at the apex of its excellence.
Canadian universities are providing world class facilities and the most updated practical leaning
method based study. Universities have got connections with the world famous multinational
companies and so students get opportunities to have some practical experiences through some
internship or co-op programs. Canada offers a friendly, laid-back nature, excellent education
system and standard life style. Studying in Canadian universities can bring the advantages of the
country’s impressive technology and research resources. Canada utilizes the same 3 fold degree
system as America. A Canadian degree is widely recognized as equal to one from America or the
United Kingdom.
I have also considered some more universities in Canada but finally chose the University of
Regina as it is highly specialized in business subjects, its higher ranking and higher rate of
employability. University of Regina is located in the city of Regina, the capital of Canadian
province of Saskatchewan. This university offers a wide range of courses to students from
around the world including the English Language courses. It is ranked among the top ten
comprehensive universities offering over 70 programs in 9 undergraduate faculties. It owns one
of the largest campus in order to provide students with the best and most modern university
experience. Students have access to more than 400 faculty members in 70 academic departments
and there are 4 libraries stocked with 1.2 million units, 220,000 e-journals/books and 104
computer stations. Moreover it is a great place of international students as it has an international
community with students from over 90 countries enrolled in the academic programs.
After completing my course my aim is to return to my country, where the expansion of business
is increasing rapidly. My aim is to work at a multinational organization as a business analyst
where I can interpret a company's needs through the use of analytical tools such as document
analysis, surveys, business process descriptions etc. The possibilities just do not end there,
Business courses offer a degree as well as practical knowledge, for which it will be possible to
combine a business education with my other-other passion to explore on and build my career.
My belief is that Science and technology can innovate, produce a product but one needs business
knowledge to market and sell the product. With this degree, I wish to pursue subjects that will
give me a deep understanding of several different aspects to go into creating a successful
business. I aim to follow in my father’s footsteps but only after I gain considerable experience
and knowledge at a global level. I would like to expand the business by venturing into
new areas. However, for this, I need to study the market, strategies, seek fund and get through
grasp on the intricacies of running a successful business. I am confident that a business course
from your esteemed University will help me achieve these goals. I, therefore, look forward to
pursuing my higher education in Canada at University of Regina as an international student and
build my career upon the course I have selected. Canada is a safe, multicultural, friendly and
harmonious society which makes it an ideal destination for me. I aim to put as much as I can into
the course and I very much hopeful that you will look favorably upon my application.
