On 18 November 2023, the University of Mindanao ROTC Unit witnessed a defining moment as 9 aspirants
underwent the Cadet Officer Qualifying Course (COQC).

Review in Honor of Dr. Guillermo P. Torres Jr.
 BLOOD LETTING
On 18 January 2024, the University of Mindanao Administrative Employees Association conducted their
53rd Mobile Blood Donation in partnership with the UM Administration along with the Davao Blood Center
of DOH RXI, and the College of Health Sciences Education and College of Criminal Justice Education on
Thursday at the PS Building Lobby of UM Matina Campus starting from 0700H-1200H.
 CHE SKILL OLYMPICS 2024
Tourism and hospitality students from UM's College of Hospitality Education (CHE) have gathered at the
UM Matina Gymnasium to witness the grand coronation of their Mr. and Ms. CHE 2024. from April 3-5,
2024.
 CONVOCATION
The University of Mindanao gives cash incentives to graduates who earned as the top examinees for the
licensure examination. These incentives also served as acknowledgement for their hard work and hope to
inspire other students to continue to strive for excellence in the academic field. On Febraury 2024
 GLOBAL SOCIAL WORK MONTH
The UMASWS marked the end of the month-long Global Social Work Month celebration during the Social
Work Month Culmination with the highly anticipated Social Work Ambassador and Ambassadress 2024 held
on March 26, 2024, at the UM Bolton Gymnasium.
 INTRAMURALS
The University of Mindanao is now filled with cheers and yells from different colleges as they march
together to officially start the 70th Intramurals and 72nd LitMus competition.

 UMYONG FESTIVAL
Students from the different colleges of the
University of Mindanao gathered at the UM
Gymnasium for this year's BANDAGULAN:
UMyong Festival Battle of the Bands, where
everyone showcased their amazing voices and
instrumental skills last March 2, 2024.
 BOOK SIGNING
The University of Mindanao College of Architecture and Fine Arts Education (CAFAE), in collaboration
with the award-winning author and the man behind the famous book "Literati Dos," SVP for Academic
Affairs, Dr. Ronnie Amorado, held a successful book signing and discussion on book review at the UM Main
New Library on Wednesday, March 6, 2024.
