OBJECTIVES OF TRAINING:

➢ Quality Improvement:

In today’s market customers are considered as God and satisfying their needs is considered
important but along with this comes quality. Providing quality services by the employees should
be considered important in order to survive in the completion.

➢ Safety:

The safety of the employees is the topmost priority and should not be neglected and to avoid any
accidents, employees should be given knowledge about using the equipment and creating it a
life-friendly product.

➢ Technological Upgradation:

Since technology is growing at a faster rate it is important for the employees to keep up with
them and the company should hold workshops for their employees to keep them updated with the
new technology.

➢ Effective Management:

The training and development process gives rise to effective management which can handle
planning and control in the organization without any problems. Decision making in the
organization becomes easier and work is done without any delay.

1. ON THE JOB TRAINING:
➢ It typically involves a combination of observing others and hands-on experience
completing tasks under the supervision of a training manager, coworker, or outsourced
professional trainer.
➢ The purpose of OJT is to prepare an employee for his/her position.
➢ The instruction and hands-on practice, one completes as part of the training, which can
help in developing the skills, competencies, and knowledge an employee needs to carry
out his/her role at the company or organization.
➢ After completion, an employee should be able to perform most or all of the tasks for
his/her position without supervision.

2. OFF THE JOB TRAINING:


➢ The Off-the-Job Training is the training method wherein the workers/employees learn
their job roles away from the actual work floor.
➢ Simply, off-the-job training comprises of a place specifically allotted for the training
purpose that may be near to the actual workplace, where the workers are required to learn
the skills and get well equipped with the tools and techniques that are to be used at the
actual work floor.

Stages of the Training Process:

Effective training begins well before a trainer delivers an individual training session and
continues after that training session is complete. Training can be viewed as a process comprised
of five related stages or activities: assessment, motivation, design, delivery, and evaluation.
