Special
Relationships
For over twenty years Bob Bofman has moved at the highest levels
of the wine and spirits business - both here in the United States and
around the world. With ten years spent as the highest volume fine
wine salesman in the United States and another ten years spent as the
General Manager of Sam’s Wine & Spirits - a store Bob took from
a local Chicago phenomenon to the highest grossing single wine
store in the world - Bob has nurtured close working relationships
with some of the most respected names in the world of wine.
Bob Bofman Selections currently works with forty-seven select
Bordeaux chateaux and negociant firms. These the largest and most
prestigious firms to progressive and modern firms representing the
younger generation of Bordelaise wine merchants who operate at
the cutting edge of the fine wine trade. It is these close relationships
that allow us to offer you, our customer, a wide range of options
and provide you
with all of the
products and services that you have come to expect.

The finest examples of these close relationships are

the illustrious wines that Bob Bofman Selections has
the pleasure of offering our customers - particulary
the fine Bordeaux that we carry on an exclusive basis:
Haut-Brisson, Montviel, La Graviere, Sansonnet and
Valrose.

In addition the wines that we are exclusive on, we also

have access to the cellars of some of the greatest and
most storied chateaux of Bordeaux. Bob has worked
for many years selling the wines of Cos d’Estournel,
the great estate of Saint-Estêphe. Jean-Guillaume
Prats, the manager of this “Super Second,” has given
Bob Bofman Selections unprecedented access to the back vintages stored in the cellars of this beautiful
property. Similar arrangements have been made with Florence Cathiard, the owner of one of the great
names in Graves - Smith Haut Lafitte. We also have the ability to deliver a large selection of older
vintages from Château Clinet, one of the stars of Pomerol. In addition to these wines, we also have
dynamic relationships with many other world-renowned names, such as the wines of Hubert Bouard
(Angelus, La Fleur de Bouard, etc) and Brane Cantenac, just to name a few.

Special
Relationships
For a number of years Bob has had a close business and personal relationship with the people and wines
of Groupe Edonia, a fine negociant fim that also owns a few of the more interesting estates of Bordeaux
- all of which offer the highest quality at amazing values. Château Sansonnet, a Grand Cru of Saint-
Emilion, has been resurrected by Edonia and is once again the stellar producer that its fine location
and vineyards suggest. In Saint-Estêphe, just a stones throw away from the beautiful Cos d’Estournel,
is Château Valrose, another star in Groupe Edonia’s portfolio. This estate produces a premium wine,
Cuvee Alienor, that year in and year out shares so much of the quality of with its more well-known
neighbors at a fraction of the cost. Edonia also produces the great Tokaji of Châteaux Dereszla and
Henye in Hungary. Finally, there is Finca Navarrita de Monteflores, a project begun with the partnership
of Jean-Michel Arcaute and Michel Rolland and nurtured by Patrick d’Aulan and Gerard Neraudeau.

We also have a very special relationship with Vignobles Garcin. Helene

Garcin is the proud owner of some of the best properties in Bordeaux
including the celebrated Clos l’Eglise in Pomerol, Château Barde-Haut
in Saint-Emilion and from Graves Château Haut-Bergey and Château
Branon, a small ultra-premium estate in Pessac-Leognan. Vignobles Garcin
also produces some of the greatest wines of the new world at Bodega Poesia
in Luján de Cuyo, arguably the finest sub-region of Mendoza in Argentina.
Along with Bodega Poesia’s flagship wine (Poesia), they also craft the Clos
des Andes and Pasodoble labels.

Another partnership we are very proud of

is that with La Ferme de Rougefort, which is owned by Catherine Pere
Verge and represents some of the great names of Pomerol - Le Gay and
Montviel, along with the highly sought-after line of wines from Bodega
Monteviejo in Argentina, including Monteviejo, Lindaflor, Petite Fleur
and Festivo. All these stunning wines are made by Marcelo Pelaritti. The
Rougefort portfolio has recently been expanded with the acquisition of
Château La Violette in Pomerol. This tiny property is adjacent to the
world-renowned Château Le Pin, and the wines of La Violette prove the
old adage - location, location, location!

Laurent Terrisson, was born into a family of winegrowers and son of an oenologist Laurent
started working in wine in 1988 when he was 21. Since that time, his passion for wine grew day
by day especially when working for Cave de Tain l’Hermitage at the end of the 90’s.
In 2002, he started his own business exporting hand-picked wines to America. He discovered
great winegrowers and fantastic winemakers who shared his simple attitude to wines. Truly
express their terroir. Let the fruit show itself and not to be exposed to oak when not necessary.
The Wines are made by the actual winegrowers and produced in controlled quantities. Wines
that offer immediate pleasure upon opening the bottle. And above all, they must be excellent
values. This is the philosophy that he truly believes in and we do too.
