The new hardware developed from Wavence Release 18A up to Release 20 is:
• OMT for UBT-S
• OMT-C for UBT-T
• OCM for UBT-T
• UBT-C
• UBT-mX
• UBT-mU

This Installation Delta course explains how to install:
• The Outdoor Combiner Module for the UBT-T
• And the UBT-C
For the installation of the OMT for UBT-S and OMT-C for UBT-T refer to the relevant Instraction
leaflet.
UBT-mU and UBT-mX has to be installed as UBT-m.

In this chapter you will learn:
• the installation of the Outdoor Combiner Module

The Outdoor Combiner Module is available for RF bands from 6GHz to 11 GHz
Different variants of the OCM are available:
• OCM Main (Co-polar or Alternate polar)
• OCM Extension (Co-polar)

STEP 1 - Assemble the supports on the OCM Unit, as shown in the figure.

Refer to DETAIL A to assemble the upper support.


Refer to DETAIL B to assemble the lower support.

STEP 2 - Assemble the upper clamp brackets on the pole.

STEP 3 - Hang the OCM Unit on the Pole mount.

STEP 4 - Fix the OCM Unit on the Pole mount.
Refer to DETAIL C to fix the OCM Unit on the Pole mount.

STEP 5 - Assemble the lower clamp bracket on the Pole mount and finally fix the OCM Unit.

This figure shows the Co-polar OCM.
The connection to the antenna can be done with a flextwist, as shown in Step 6a on the left side, or
with an elliptical waveguide, as shown in Step 6b on the right side.

This figure shows the Alternate Polar OCM.
The connection to the antenna can be done with a flextwist, as shown in Step 6c on the left side, or
with an elliptical waveguide, as shown in Step 6d on the right side.

The figure shows the connection of the OCM Extension to the OCM Main. The OCM Main must be
connected to the antenna.
The connection of the OCM Extension to the OCM is done with a flextwist. The OCM Main is
connected to the antenna with a flextwist, as shown on the left side, or with an elliptical waveguide,
as shown in on the right side.

As summary, it is shown the cascading connection of the OCM Extension to the OCM Main. The view
is the bottom view of the two OCM.

The final phase of the installation is the installation of the two UBT-T on the OCM.

Here the recommended routing of the cables of the UBT-T is shown.

In this chapter you will learn:
• the UBT-C installation

The UBT-C can be installed on:
• an Integrated antenna
• Or a Non-integrated antenna

The UBT-C supports only the 1+0 radio configuration.


The connection to the MSS is only electrical.

Here the procedure to install the UBT-C on an integrated antenna is given.
STEP 1 - Place the four screws in the fixing points for UBT-C in the antenna interface. On the left side the antenna
interface of the Tongyu antenna is shown. On the right side the antenna interface of the RPS antenna.

STEP 2 - Place the UBT-C in the correct orientation, depending on the required polarization (H or V).
STEP 3 - Push and rotate the UBT-C, as in the indicated curved motion.
STEP 4 - In this hanging position, firm the screws.

Here the procedure to install the UBT-C on a non-integrated antenna is given.

STEP 1 - Install the frame on the pole mount, as explained in the relevant leaflet.
STEP 2 - Install the Nose adapter.
STEP 3 - Place the four screws in the fixing points for UBT-C in the frame.

STEP 4 - Push and rotate the UBT-C.
STEP 5 - In this hanging position, firm the screws.

Now the cable must be connected to the UBT-C.

STEP 1 - Ground the UBT-C


• Connect the UBT-C ground point to the nearest grounding plate using the ground cable 16mm². The washer, the
screw and the lug are provided with the UBT-C.

STEP 2 - Assemble and connect the DC connector


• Assemble the OCTIS DC connector and connect the DC cable following the instructions on the relevant leaflet.
• Plug in to the PWR port.

STEP 3 - Assemble and connect the RJ45 connector
• Assemble the RJ45 connector on the Ethernet cable by using the RJ45 tool.
• Assemble the OCTIS RJ45 connector, following the instructions on the relevant leaflet.
• Plug in to Port 1.
