ANEMIA

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

WHAT IS ANEMIA?
Anemia is a disease in which the number and quality of
red blood cells in our bodies are insufficient. A molecule
called hemoglobin is used by red blood cells to transport
oxygen throughout your body. Anemia is a condition in
which our bodies' iron levels are low, resulting in a lack of
red blood cells and hemoglobin in our bodies, as well as
a lack of oxygen in our tissues.

WHAT CAUSES IT?

Anemia is caused by a shortage of iron in the diet,
resulting in a lack of oxygen in the body's tissues. Blood
loss and a lack of nutrients from a diet are all common
causes of anemia. Our red blood cells don't operate as
effectively when we don't obtain adequate nutrition,
resulting in iron deficiency. Severe anemia patients receive
red blood cell transfusions when their red blood cell count
is severely low, which increases their red blood cell count,
hemoglobin, and stabilizes the patient's iron levels.

WHAT TO AVOID?
Tea, coffee, certain dairy products, and other foods containing
tannins should be avoided by people who suffer from iron
deficiency (Anemia). It's essential to consume a lot of green leafy
vegetables and iron-rich foods like tofu and lean red meats to
avoid anemia. To avoid infection, those who are anemic should
keep hydrated and wash their hands often.
