DAY 6

Date and time February 27, 2023 | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of I arrived at around 6:37 in the morning because we were

the whole day advised to come early every Monday morning to attend the
activity/duty morning ceremonies and flag ceremony at the Police Regional
Office 2 at Camp Marcelo Adduru in Caggay, Tuguegarao City.
Upon arrival, we cleaned the surroundings of the unit’s office where
I was assigned and went to the field for the flag ceremony. During
the ceremony, they also showed their recognition and appreciation
to those who have completed their missions in executing their
expected outcomes such as the number of Buy Bust Operations.
We also accompanied Maj. Calagui to their residence to bring
home his things because he will be transferred to the
Administrative Office so we are expecting to have a new major in
the Office of the Regional District Support Unit (ORDSU) on
Monday. Since it was a Monday, most or almost all of our superiors
are out in office doing necessary matters inside and outside Camp
Marcelo Adduru in relation to their official functions as public
servants and/or police officers. We also got the chance to look at
how a stencil in the official motorcycle of police officers are placed
and which three vehicles are to be brought and be turned over to
Batanes.
During lunchbreak, although already outside of the counted
official hours, we got the chance to encounter a police officer who
were colleagues and companions of the fallen six police officers
with an encounter with members of the New Peopl’s Army (NPA)
last 2016 and narrating how challenging it is to be police officers. In
the afternoon, we helped a police officer push the vehicle of an
individual which was not starting right due to engine problems. We
were also introduced by SPO4Tappa of one of their prides in the
unit for finishing the recently conducted Boss Ironman race for
vehicles and/or motorcycles.

Knowledge Life is not a competition nor a race especially the life of

gained from police officers which teaches us that life a gift to be treasured and
the whole day nurtured. But being a police officer, or generally a public servant, it
duty requires us to give our heart and mind as well as our bodies to
whatever might come in the next days particularly when we are
faced with literal battles against the government and country’s
public order, peace and safety we promised to protect and
 preserve.
Thus, the call of duty is a challenge and a demand to
actually stay true to one’s oath of allegiance to the country and
fellowmen. Kudos to those who have lost their lives for fighting for
our country and its citizens.

DAY 7

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of Upon my arrival at the Police Regional 02 office, particularly

the whole day at my assigned unit, Office of Regional District Support Unit, a lot
activity/duty of police patrol cars were outside and in front of our office due to
the welcoming and arrival of the new head of the ORDSU, Major
Velasco who brought us to shock for he was a young major
compared to the previous one. After welcoming him to the unit, he
immediately went out to have a meeting with the administration in
the Police Regional 02 office.
In the afternoon, we helped our superiors carry patrol or
police motorcycles into a truck which shall deliver the motorcycles
into the ship going to Batanes. The Regional Supply Accountable
Office (RSAO) asked for our help in carrying a cabinet into their
office/unit. Before we went home, we helped the police officers fix
and clean the inside of our office as well as the outside portion.

Knowledge An insight I got today is no matter what age we are at, age
gained from will never be a criterion on what a person can achieve in his life.
the whole day This means that wanting something entails continuous
duty perseverance and unending sense of being ambitious with always
feet on the ground. Moreover, this day reminded me of the
importance of being a snappy officer, like how to recognize fast the
officials we see around and automatically and immediately do the
proper hand salute to show the respect due to them.

Date and time March 1, 2023 | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of Few minutes after I have arrived at my assigned unit at the

the whole day Police Regional Office 02, we went and did our morning routine to
activity/duty clean our office and its outside but we focused cleaning the garage
since there are various things stocked there. We accompanied
SPO4 Olivares in the terminal located at the Robinson’s Mall to
pick-up a package for a colonel in the unit. The next responsibility
given to us by SPO4Tappa was to get gas coupons from Corporal
Vanguardia at the Regional Research and Logistics Development
Office (RRLDO). I was personally assigned to help SPO Tappa to
help him in fixing the police patrol cars which were photographed
and shall be brought t the different municipalities in the Region 02.
The last task was to let Maj. Velasco sign the trip ticket of PEMS
Maramag VB for his travel to Nueva Vizcaya tomorrow early
morning.

Knowledge Today, I was able to get knowledgeable of the proper

gained from method on how to document and properly turn over the newly

duty cared to obey and follow the proper steps to make sure that the
patrol cars they are about to distribute are of excellent quality and
engine to ensure that they are safe for using by the different police
stations in the region.

Date and time March 2, 2023 | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of At around 8 and a quarter in the morning, we were asked to

the whole day load PNP magazines and book into their Toyota Innova police
activity/duty patrol car to be brought to the Regional Operations Division in the
Regional Police Office 02. We were also invited by SPO4 Bassig to
watch the graduation or ceremonial rites of the PNP Basic Internal
Security Operations Course (BISOC) at the field. Moreover, we
also loaded vehicle tires into the PNP’s coaster which was
commanded by Corporal Zillabo. Lastly, we were also asked to try
answering some grammar questions and/or exercises that could
help us in remembering basic grammar principles that we can use
in writing reports such as this and other documents and reports
later on in the police profession and other related fields. There
were no other major activities in the afternoon as we tried to learn
from the online class of our superior who was having online
classes for he was the only one left in the office with us.

Knowledge Learning is a lifelong process as we need to adopt to the

gained from changes in our society. I have also observed the importance of
the whole day having a support unit in the PNP because they serve as the
duty support system of the whole PNP wherein they are easily called
whenever another unit or office in the PNP needs something about
anything.

DAY 10

Activity On-the-Job Training

Narration of In the morning, we went to clean the surroundings of our

the whole day office for there were only two police officers left in our unit with us
activity/duty for they were busy in their respective functions inside and outside
the Police Regional Office 02. An observation also is that the new
Chief Officer, Major Velasco opts to stay at the administration
period compared to his office and quarter at the Office of the
Regional District Support Unit (ORDSU).
In the afternoon, we were asked to let Major Velasco sign a
trip ticket for PEMS Maramag and PEMS Olivares as they are
going to PNPA Camp Castaneda in Silang, Cavite as they will
attend a recognition and awarding for outstanding PNP personnel.
PEMS Maramag also invited us to go with them in Cavite if we
would like to. Unfortunately, Major Velasco was not there,
therefore, we waited for him a little while.

Knowledge From the trip ticket, I have had come to realize how
gained from important it is to give recognition and award to the men in the
the whole day police force for they are encouraged and strengthened to do better
duty in their work always in serving the country and their fellowmen.
With this, others are encouraged as well especially the new ones to
keep the passion and dedication in serving and to keep true to their
mission.
