Week 3

Hello everyone, as I embark on my third week at Aiyanar Beach and Diving

Resort, where I am stationed in the dining area as a waiter, I am eager to
share with you my latest experiences. Upon my arrival, I was warmly
introduced to Cap, the head of the dining team, who appeared both
professional and approachable. Meeting Randy, the restaurant manager,
left me with the impression of a meticulous yet fair leader overseeing the
operations. In a pleasant turn of events, I had the privilege of conversing
with Ms. Hannah, a seasoned dining staff member, who patiently guided
me through the nuances of my daily tasks, inside and outside the kitchen.
Through her detailed explanations, I gained a deeper understanding of the
various utensils utilized in the dining area, from different types of glasses to
the distinct purposes of forks, spoons, and knives.

Moreover, both Hannah and Cap elaborated on the intricate table

arrangements that characterize the dining area, with Randy further
demonstrating the three distinct table configurations in use: the convivial
family-style table, the tailored à la carte arrangement, and the
comprehensive full-board setup. As I continue to familiarize myself with
these diverse settings, I am gaining valuable insights into the meticulous
planning and attention to detail that define the dining experience at Aiyanar
Beach and Diving Resort. Each day brings new challenges and
opportunities for growth, and I am grateful for the supportive team that
surrounds me as I navigate my role as a waiter with enthusiasm and
dedication.

They also showed me how to strike up a conversation and interact with a

guest who is seated in the dining room. They also showed me what is and
is not now available on the restaurant's entire menu. This week has taught
me a lot. It's been exhausting compared to the dive shop, but it's well worth
it because my current role is a great predictor of my future career. They
said they would train me to become a bartender next week, and I'm excited
about it. They will teach me several techniques that will help me become a
competent bartender. That concludes my third week at Aiyanar; I'll see you
next week! For now, bye.
