Week 2 Journal

Hi, it's me again zy! Today marks the beginning of the Second week of my
on-the-job training here at Aiyanar Beach and Diving Resort. Throughout
this week, I have gained a wealth of knowledge. I delved into
understanding the inner workings of CBC and regulators, which proved to
be both enjoyable and exhilarating. Being a part of the dive shop has been
a truly rewarding experience. Each morning, I engage in the familiar routine
of sweeping the ground, cleaning the front of the shop, and handling
inventory, all of which I find to be enjoyable tasks. Spending time with my
colleagues has been an immensely enjoyable experience. They have
imparted valuable life lessons to me, enriching my understanding of various
aspects of life. Learning that this week will be my final one in the dive shop
initially stirred a sense of sadness within me. The thought of bidding
farewell to the dive shop's office filled me with mixed emotions, as it has
become a place where I have forged unforgettable memories and garnered
significant insights.

In the upcoming week, I will continue my night shift from 7 pm to 12 am, a

unique experience that allows me to work alongside divers in the dark
waters. Waiting patiently for their return is crucial as I must be ready to
assist them if needed. This type of broken shift structure has enabled me to
grow closer to my classmates during our OJT. They have shared their
insights and have mentioned that I will be stationed in the dining area next
week, where my role will be that of a waiter. The anticipation and mix of
excitement and nervousness for what lies ahead are palpable. These
developments mark the progression of my journey at Aiyanar, reflecting on
the meaningful interactions that have shaped my second week here.
Looking forward to the adventures and experiences that the next week will
bring. See you in the coming week as the journey continues.
