1. A few of them went to Abu Bakr Siddiq R.A, and told him everything that had heard. “It is

7. The most important tribes of Madinah were Aws and Khazraj. Mus’ab bin Umayr presented
to them the commands of Allah.
8. So wisely that within a short time there was not a house in Madinah in which a few people
had not accepted Islam.
9. After the second pledge, the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W commanded Muslims to leave
Makkah quickly and to make for Madinah to join their Muslims brothers, honourably called
al-Ansar-the Helpers- by the Prophet himself.
10. Among the Muslims who had so far emigrated were: Umar bin al-Khattab, Hamzah, Zayd ibn
Haritha, Talha , Abdur Rahman ibn Awf, Zubayr bin al-Awwam, Uthman bin Affan and other
companions of the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W.
11. The Arabic word Hijrah, means often appears in its Latin form, ‘hegira’ never means ‘flight’.
It is best translated ‘emigration.’
