SLEEVES – Inner Arm Border: Fig. 38

Inner Arm Border – recommended even if you


don’t add the full sleeves. There are two Rnd 1
versions, one for the Left Arm (right handed, or
Right Arm if you are left-handed) and one for
the Right Arm. (Right if you are right handed,
left if you are left handed)

Rnd 1 Left Arm (or right arm, for lefties): Attach


yarn at the beginning of armhole chain

Sleeve - Arms
Alternating Forward and Backward rounds to
create a Switchback Join for the rest of the
sleeve – figs 41-42. The sleeves are worked
kimono style, meaning they are not tapered and
can be quite wide depending on the size made.
You can add a few decreases per round as you
go if you want a more fitted sleeve.

TOP BORDER:
If working Hood, attach completed hood before
working this portion.

Rnd 1: Join yarn on the top corner of the front


panel. Sl st across the side of the LDC rows
working toward the top collar of the vest. Sc in
the next st – fig 43. Hdc in each st across the BOTTOM BORDER:
collar (if working hooded version, hdc across all
rows of the hood when you come to it, resuming Sl st down the side of the rows working toward
